Hitting the slopes this weekend? 🏂Make sure you’re prepared for driving on snowy or icy roads:
- Pack and be ready to fit chains to your tyres when advised
- Drive cautiously up and down mountains
- Anti-freeze is recommended in your radiator
- Diesel vehicles should fill up with alpine diesel mix
- If you hit ice, remain calm and apply the brakes gently to slowly regain traction.

Drive safe!

Even when walking, it’s still important to remain alert – especially at intersections or on footpaths.

Keep music at a lower volume, and your eyes up from your phone, so you can still hear and see other road or path users.

Every life lost and injury on the rail network is a tragedy and profoundly impacts family, friends, communities, rail and recovery staff, and witnesses.

So please always drive carefully around trains and trams, and look out for each other on the road. Tracksafe
