What are some common pathways to Australian Permanent Residency? πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί

If you don't have family such as a spouse of defacto partner in Australia to sponsor your application, another way to obtain permanent residency is through the skilled migration program (189/190/491) or the employer sponsored (482/186/494) pathways.

πŸ’ͺ To be qualified in an occupation on the occupation list
βœ‰οΈ To receive an invitation to apply for the visa by the Australian or State Government
πŸ“œ At least 65 points in the points test (for a higher chance to receive a 189 invitation quicker, you should aim to score at least 80 points)
πŸ—£οΈ Possess at least Competent English and a positive skills assessment for the occupation that you are nominating.

To be eligible for the employer sponsored pathways, you need:

🀝 Have a company sponsor
βŒ› Have at least 2 or 3 years of post-qualification full-time experience (whether it's 2 or 3 years of experience depends on the visa program)
βœ… Possess positive skills assessment for certain occupations, in particular Trades occupations
πŸ—£οΈ Possess English capability

Message me to learn more about your opportunities.

πŸ‘©β€πŸŽ“πŸ‘¨β€πŸŽ“πŸš¨Although not specifically announced in the media release or as yet through legislative instrument, from 1 July 2022, those applying for Temporary Graduate (Subclass 485) visas will no longer require a provisional skills assessment for their occupation.

What are the other COVID concessions for Subclass 485 holders who had been impacted by the pandemic restrictions, previously announced in November 2021?

πŸŽ“ The stay period on the Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa for Masters by Coursework graduates, will increase permanently from two to three years, to match the stay period for Masters by Research graduates.

πŸŽ“ As a concession during the COVID-19 pandemic, the stay period on the Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa Graduate Work stream, will increase from 18 to 24 months, and application requirements will be streamlined by removing the requirement for graduates to nominate an occupation from the skills occupation list.

πŸŽ“ These changes to Temporary Graduate visa stay periods will be implemented from 1 December 2021, and the removal of skilled occupation list requirements from 1 July 2022.

Unsure how you can benefit from these concessions? Book a consultation with me today to find out!

Australia has been welcoming International tourists and business travellers since February. What does this mean? 🦘

πŸ‘‰ Non-vaccinated visa holders still need a travel exemption to enter Australia and are subject to state and territory quarantine necessities.

πŸ‘‰All passengers arriving by air into Australia should complete the Digital Passenger Declaration. You can start a DPD seven days before your flight, but you must submit it before you depart for Australia.

πŸ‘‰ Please note, this should be taken as a generic guide and is not considered or official advice. Travel advice is evolving constantly, as such, proper assessment should be undertaken at all times.

Still unsure? Message me for detailed advice and steps!

How to obtain a Parent Visa for Australia: πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί

A parent visa allows an established Australian citizen or permanent resident to be sponsored to live in Australia. As a parent, you can apply for a permanent or temporary parent visa class. The child must be one of the following:

🦘An Australian citizen
🦘Permanent resident of Australia
🦘Eligible New Zealand citizen

A successful family balance test is required to apply for a parent visa. You meet the balance of family test if:

🦘Over 50% of your children live in Australia or
🦘Over 50% of your children live in Australia more permanently than in any other country

Now this can be a bit of a doozy when your parents have an odd number of children! I’m here to help you on your journey β€” let’s chat.

Photos from Wayfinder Migration's post 01/06/2022

Are you eligible for an Australian partner visa if you are not married? 🌏

Yes. The Partner visa is applicable to de-facto relationships. This means:

🀍 You are not married to each other
🀍 You are committed to a shared life to the exclusion of all others
🀍 Your relationship is genuine and continuing
🀍 You live together or do not live separately and apart on a permanent basis
🀍 You are not related by family

Generally, a de facto relationship must have existed for at least 12 months immediately before you apply for the visa. If you haven't been in a relationship for at least this amount of time, you could register your relationship to meet this requirement. *Unless you live in Western Australia.

When will the Australian Agriculture Visa be rolled out? πŸ…

πŸ‘‰ On 23 August 2021, the government announced the Australian Agricultural Visa to address labour shortages in the agricultural sector.

πŸ‘‰ The government is working with a group of Approved Employers to bring in an initial group of employees to test systems and processes before the program’s expansion throughout 2022.

πŸ‘‰ The program will target skilled, semi-skilled and low-skilled employees within specified occupations across selected sectors including Dairy farming; Cotton harvesting; Vegetable picking; Livestock care; Medicinal ma*****na farming; Solar farming; Grain harvesting; Meat processing; Commercial fishing; Forestry maintenance.

πŸ‘‰ Details on how to apply and eligibility requirements will be determined as part of the initial rollout.

πŸ‘‰ The government's pledge to double the number of workers in the Pacific to 25,000 in Australia by March 2022 means more workers will be available to fill a severe labor shortage for next harvest season.

πŸ‘‰ The Agriculture visa is not yet generally available to employers outside of the current selected. But when it is, the expected process is to determine if the Agriculture visa is appropriate for your situation.

DM me for assistance with this visa.
