Sorry for the late notice, but we will be taking an early holiday break starting from the 7th of Nov until next year! We will be back sometime in Jan 2025, in the NEW YEAR!! We hope you all have a wonderful holiday break, merry Christmas and happy new year in advance!

Come down and get your Indian fix for the rest of this and next week. Last day of trading will be Wednesday 6th of Nov, Thursday we will be closed!

We will also be open this coming Monday as a one-off to allow people to get their Al Karim's fix before we go away.

Our shop was unfortunately the victim of a robbery last night. Someone broke the front window and climbed in, stealing some money that was in the till. Luckily nothing else was broken or trashed in the restaurant, the thief got the money and left. We have already repaired the door so you might not even realise this happened. It set us back 500$ for the door and 200$ from the till, but we'll count ourselves lucky that nothing else was damaged.

We will not be keeping any cash on site from now on.

I just wanted to make this post to alert our local customers and residents of this crime. We have noticed an increase in this type of behaviour in Moonee ponds for a while now, not long ago clothing was stolen from our garage and another robbery attempt was made at the back security gate.

The police have said that even if they catch the perpetrator they will usually get off within a few months even if they are repeat offenders and that claiming any type of compensation is pointless.

Thankfully last night a resident in the apartments notified police when they heard the commotion. Please keep your eyes and ears open and alert authorities if you notice any suspicious behaviour around the Moonee ponds area. Our shop is tucked away so it may be an easy target so please notify the police if you see anything. Thank you again to the resident who did so last night.

If you have any useful information about the break in please call the Moonee Ponds police branch and let them know. Also send a DM if you have any trusted suppliers or tradies for shutters or flood lights so we can safe guard our property.

Thanks so much for your support! We have run the restaurant in limited hours for the last few years but now have the staff and resources to offer greater trading hours and the ability to spread the love of Indian food across more hours of the day :)

We have some very exciting news! We are now open 7 days! And starting tomorrow we will be opening until late (10:30pm) for online pickup and delivery orders!

Less than 3 days!
