Sixty Smith
Fine, without the the fuss! Restaurant and cocktail bar in Collingwood serving modern share plates,
The latest addition to our wine list at Sixty Smith is this delightful little riesling from the Strathbogie ranges and our friends its deliciously crisp and refreshing.

New specials board for the week! Do you miss the carrot sorbet oysters? They are back for a limited time get in for them (yes they are on the happy hour).
Loving this early glimpse of Spring! Any chance to get the windows open so we can sit in the sun.

Best date spots? Thanks HCS!
Melbourne's Top Date Night Spots | Hidden City Secrets It's date night again, but this time we're here to help. With so many bars and restaurants to choose from, we're here to simplify it!
Are you struggling to get out of bed on a Sunday on these cold winter days? We are so will be putting out Sundays on hold until the weather warms up a bit. When we re-launch them we will be sure to let you know.
Brussels sprouts get a bad wrap, certainly when my grandmother cooked them they were inedible. However, sauteed with miso butter and toasted almonds they are absolutely to die for, in fact, I might just eat a whole bowl now.
We hear you like cheese. Have you tried our baked camembert with manuka honey? Served with quince paste, toasted walnuts and crackers it's great as a bar snack, part of meal or a final dish to complete a meal.
Once again July is upon us and some of you will celebrate by not drinking for a month. Sixty Smith will be expanding on our non-alcoholic offerings for this period, so whether you are a Dry-Julyer, someone who never drinks or just someone who is having a night off we would love to see you soon!
Controversially, for this menu we changed the perennial favourite wild mushroom croquettes for an arancini dish. This might be concerning as the croquettes were delicious but these arancini are superb, wild mushroom with peas and still served with our famous truffle mayonnaise and grana padano they will hit the spot, if you have just 3 or a larger serve like this.
World Martini Day was last Saturday and while the day is gone our special for the day lingers on, sneak in and try an Earl Grey Martini using Earl Grey Tea infused Gin and Italicus liqueur for a delicious concoction.
Sometimes we just have 'sides' for dinner.
There is nothing much more warming in winter than a delicious risotto. This one with smoked ham hock, mushrooms, peas and provolone is sure to keep you marching through the colder months.
We love hearing when our guests have had a good time! Have you been in recently and enjoyed your experience? We would love for you to let us know how it went.
We love a cheeky gin and have a bunch of different ones to try. If you're not sure how to best experience these have a look at the "perfectly paired" section of our drinks menu for some inspiration.
We do love oysters at Sixty Smith. With the colder weather coming we wanted to do a warmed oyster this time around. This one, inspired by oysters rockerfella is a delectable delight. Grilled with spinach greens and grana padano it is sure to please.
The next installment in our ode to pork belly. 5 spice braised with kimchee, apple puree and chicharon it will keep you warm as the nights get colder.
With the weather getting colder sometimes you need a wine that is just a little bigger. The dark cherries, raspberries and anise jube of this Nero d'Avola from Tumblong Hills in Gundagai will keep you from getting too chilly and you might even find it on our happy hour Tuesday to Thursday.
Lentils get such a bad wrap. But you should definitely try these. Spiced Puy lentils with tahini dressing and a rice cracker, they not only taste great with a nice firm bite but hey look pretty good too if we do say so ourselves.
We are loving this last little collection of sunny afternoons. Its pretty great sitting in our window with a glass of one of the wines off our recently updated wine list. We wanted this time to include something similar to a chardonnay without having a chardonnay. The 'Chasing Daisies' from is a delightful blend of Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Clairette is sure to please.
An early contender for favourite dishes is the Tuna Tataki. Served with Horse Raddish remoulade, oyster emulsion and parsnip crisps it is great as a light bar snack or an early course in a larger meal. I think I'm in love.
Did you know that if you are having a function with us that you can have any of the wines off our list available on your tab and we will charge you by the bottle? It allows you to choose the wine you and your guests really want to drink and come sometimes save you a few dollars as well!
Earlier in the year we had the Montepulciano on our specials board (and it was very delicious). One of the new additions to our wines by the glass though is this delicious Tempranillo which ticks all the boxes.
Its menu change day at Sixty Smith! We love showing off exciting new flavours with the changing of the seasons. And while some much loved Sixty classics are taking a break we think you will love what has replaced them.
Mothers day will be here really soon and we'd love to see you all for dinner. Head to our website to book!
New menu incoming means we need to do plenty of testing. This is a beta test of a new scallop dish. It was delicious.
The Vella Troublemaker has fast turned into the staff pick of the new white wines by the glass. This delightful blend of Pinot Blanc, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris is sure to please people searching for something similar too, but a little bit different from the ubiquitous Pinot Grigio or Pinot Gris. With a fresh nose a delightful fruit it pairs well with food while also being an easy drop to drink by itself. We hope you enjoy.
You may have noticed that we have an affinity for oysters at Sixty Smith. And it looks like we may change the way we server some of them when we change our menu soon. So if you want to make sure you can eat our delicious carrot sorbet, or yuzu and umeboshi oysters one last time you had better get in soon (or pester the chef until he brings them back).
