WOOHOO! Another SOLD! 🥰
"We engaged Byron Sedgwick at Ian Reid Advocates to work on our behalf to sell my parents property. Byron advised us on pre-sale improvements to the property & also gave us a number of good local contacts that we could use. He selected 3 local real estate agents, and then talked us through each agent's proposal & finally making recommendations to which agent would work best and why.
We were very happy with the chosen agent & sales campaign, resulting in a great financial outcome for my parents. Byron was professional, very understanding & attentive to our needs and situation with my parents moving into residential care. He gave great advice, ensuring that we were kept up to date with each step.
We would not hesitate to recommend Byron & Ian Reid Advocates. Byron did a fantastic job! As did Ian Reid Advocates, exactly as the advertisements say on 3AW radio."

What else should you do on an easy going Easter Monday. How about a nice little winery sojourn.
Quealy Estate is a prestigious winery renowned for its exceptional cool-climate wines, particularly Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. You must try their ‘Pobblebonk’ too. The estate emphasizes innovative winemaking techniques and sustainable practices.
Bittern Estate Winery is renowned for its premium cool-climate wines, notably Pinot Noir and Chardonnay but I much preferred their heir Dolcetta and Gewurztraminer varieties. With a focus on quality and sustainability, it's a must-visit destination for wine lovers seeking the best of Australian wine. This little winery is a hidden gem.
Just to top off a very chocolate Easter … what the hell, why not?!!
A shout out too: the Red Hill Bakery has the most amazing Hot Cross Bee Stings - that’s a custard filled hot cross bun!! Yummmeeeeeeee!!
(I’ll try and get a photo soon but no promises 🤣)
Nestled amidst the picturesque landscape of Sandhurst Golf Club, bathed in the golden glow of the Australian sun, the Ian Reid Charity Golf Day unfolded as a testament to camaraderie and goodwill. As the best of the best realestate agents gathered, they were greeted by a day filled with anticipation and excitement, eager to test their skills on the renowned grounds of Sandhurst Golf Club.
Nature, however, had its own plans, as the whimsical dance of wind and weather added an element of unpredictability to the game. Yet, amid the occasional challenge posed by Mother Nature, there was a sense of resilience and determination among the players, ready to conquer whatever obstacles lay ahead.
Despite the fleeting moments of adversity, the day embraced tranquility and mild temperatures, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable golfing experience. As rays of sunshine broke through the clouds, illuminating the lush green fairways.
In the spirit of friendly competition, teams embarked on the 4 ball Ambrose competition, each shot carrying the hopes and aspirations of their collective effort. And while my group may have finished at 3 over par, the true victory lay in the shared moments of laughter, camaraderie, and sportsmanship that echoed across the course.
As the day drew to a close, amidst the backdrop of the setting sun, the true essence of the Ian Reid Charity Golf Day shone brightly. It wasn’t just about the scores on the leaderboard, but rather the generosity and compassion that fueled the event, supporting the noble cause of The Good Friday Appeal and leaving a lasting impact on the community.
In the end, as champions were crowned and memories were etched into the annals of time, one thing remained certain – the Ian Reid Charity Golf Day was not merely a tournament, but a celebration of unity, generosity, and the timeless joy of the game.
Cut, raked and baled.
Just sitting in the back paddock under the trees enjoying the serenity.

Last night was absolutely fantastic spent with my work family at an incredible wine bar nestled in the vibrant Brunswick East, hailed as the 6th coolest neighborhood globally by Time Out in 2023.
Our evening kicked off with delightful wine tastings, followed by a fascinating experiment of blending various varieties to craft our own signature concoction - a process that felt like a scientific adventure!
Adding to the merriment, we indulged in the playful ambiance with a round of Bad Santa before relishing the delectable dishes that were served.
The hosts, Cam & Alex, were exceptional, truly living up to the bar’s reputation. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience that embodied the essence of its name.

THE SKY ISN'T FALLING JUST YET - excerpts from an article by Megan Neil, Senior Journalist Published 14 Sep 2022
"While prices are falling nationally, some areas are performing better than others.
Regional and outer suburbs headline a long list of hotspots where prices have surged over the past year, as buyers chased larger homes, a lifestyle change or more affordable options.
With the heady days of the housing boom are over and rate rises have driven widespread price falls, a large number of suburbs across Australia have notched up strong price growth of up to 60% in a year.
There are areas where we've seen very strong growth over the past 12 months, particularly areas in more peripheral parts of the city where outer suburbs have been outperforming the inner city.
Preference shifts during Covid of people wanting more space and a tree or sea change have contributed to the strong demand and price growth in many areas.
Many outer suburbs in greater Melbourne are outperforming the inner city when it comes to prices, led by some lifestyle hotspots on the Mornington Peninsula and Macedon Ranges.
The Melbourne market is still funnelling down the Mornington Peninsula because of the lifestyle it offers. Strongest demand is for A-grade properties or turnkey homes that don't need to be renovated. Downsizers and holiday home buyers remain the main purchasers, with the ability to work from home attracting more people from the city during the pandemic."
This magnificent Mornington Peninsula property consisting of 3 bed, 2 bathroom, separate studio, peaceful rural property on a little over 2 acres in Bittern and can be yours for just $2.15m.
Conveniently located, be quick to inspect.

Scary times averted.
This awesome pair called a couple of weeks ago worried they had made a bad decision. They were trying to sell their home (3 months with a non-local agency) but weren’t having any success. They had already purchased and time was running out.
We were appointed and 2 weeks later we’d sold and organised settlement for the same day. Phew. Crisis averted. Let’s just hope the packing up is a bit less worrisome.
Big day tomorrow! What will the Reserve Bank of Australia do with interest rates?
With inflation on the rise here in Oz some say a raise of 25 basis points, others 40 is on the cards. Not many, if any, are forecasting a hold. One thing is for certain, it won’t be going down!
With the War in Ukraine having a global impact on commodity prices and US inflation at around 8% (but hopefully slowly being brought under control) here’s hoping for a gentle approach.

What a sensational restaurant. First time tonight and I can’t rate it more highly. I’ve heard a lot of good stories about this place and it lived up to its reputation.
