Residential Rental Providers need to be aware that Renters are better informed than ever about their rights when it comes to the standard, safety and compliance of their rental property.

This latest initiative from Consumer Affairs Victoria is another step to improve the ability of renters to report a property if it's failing to meet standards and forms part of their wider crackdown on standards in the rental property industry.

You can now report them to Consumer Affairs Victoria using their online complaint form – it’s anonymous and only takes 5 five minutes: consumer.vic.gov.au/rental-listing

This form is part of the Government’s renting taskforce, which this month began attending rental property inspections, targeting landlords and estate agents who break the rules.

Letting a new renter move into a rental property that does not meet the minimum standards is a criminal offence.

Great fun for a good cause yesterday, getting involved in Rob Gillies' epic bowl-a-thon raising money for homelessness charity We Are Mobilise.

Ash, Daniel and Lucas joined the action for 1 hour of bowling, meanwhile Rob bowled continuously for an incredible 18 hours!

Tragically, at least 15 Australian children have died in strangling incidents related to blind and curtain cords since the early 1990s.

Children - particularly infants - can become entangled in looped curtain and blind cords. This includes cords they can reach from furniture, beds or cots.

Last week several of our team members along with our Director Jason Bright ditched their office gear for black tie last week and had a fantastic night out at the inaugural O'Brien Foundation ball (such a fantastic night that they forgot to take a team photo for this post!🤦‍♀️).
