After 4 wonderful years with Dr. John Vu here at Verdant Dental, it has sadly come to an end.

We put up our Christmas tree this week! Can't believe its already that time of year! Our last day is the 22nd of December book in soon if your health insurance resets at the end of the year. We're back again on the 8th of January which leaves plenty of time to get in before the end of school holidays too.

In addition, Mr Jeremy Kearns is available for dentures/false teeth consultations on Wednesdays, as it is essential for nutrition and general health to be able to eat properly.

Our dentists are available during Victoria’s lockdown #6 lockdown for essential care. With over 6 months of lockdowns in the last year, we are finding many dental emergencies continuing to build up.

If you have a broken tooth, lost a filling, toothpache or other pains, please contact us on 9379 3736. You can also SMS us on 0434 881 479.

Dr Tim Wenas and Dr Alpa Lodhiya are available for dental treatment during lockdown. Dr Christina Romanella is temporarily unavailable.

Denture clinic is open again for dental prosthesis repairs and construction. Mr Jeremy Kearns will be reopening his denture clinic from Wednesday August 8th. It is critical for false teeth to fit comfortable in order to be able to eat, speak and function for general health.

Our dental clinic is open for treatment during Victoria Lockdown.

Dr Tim Wenas will be in attendance at Verdant Dental on Monday August 30 and Tuesday August 31. Dr Alpa Lodhya will be operating on Thursday September 2. Dr Christina Romanella and Mr Jeremy Kearns (denture clinic) are temporarily unavailable.

We are hoping for normal operations to resume from Friday September 3rd. However, it is unlikely lockdown restrictions will lift then. We will be contacting patients scheduled for routine, non-urgent work to arrange later appointments.

Initially, we could only treat severe and urgent emergencies. These include facial swelling, trauma, unrelenting pains and other extreme situations.

However, we are now permitted to perform dental treatments necessary to avoid further worsening of your conditions. For example, a cavity or broken tooth that could result in your tooth nerve dying, or extraction if we didn’t do something to fix it.

Forget lockdowns for a moment - it's International Dog Day! In memory of Hannah, my mini foxy/Jack Russell who was the happiest, tiniest, most lovable and loyal doggo in the world. If you're lucky enough to have a pet in your life, go give them a quick cuddle now!

Won't be enough room on one piece of paper to keep extending lockdown dates...

Today it was announced #6 has been extended until Thursday August 19.

During this week, we will be contacting all our patients booked for routine dental treatment to reschedule.

We will be open this Friday August 13th for dental emergencies - pain, swelling, broken teeth, lost fillings etc. For an emergency appointment, please SMS 0434 881 479 or call 9379 3736.

We will also open a day next week for more dental emergencies. Hoping we make it out of extended lockdown next week and back to regular operations from Friday August 20!

I think all Victorians are a little shell-shocked right now - we've been open for a week since Lockdown #5 ended, and now we're in Lockdown #6 from Friday August 6 to Thursday August 12th.... so far.

We are in the process of contacting all our patients to reschedule routine appointments.

During this time, support your local hospitality venues - go buy a takeaway coffee (in your reusable cup) and grab an amazing meal (but don't use ubereats, deliveroo etc which charge terrible fees to the restaurants; call the restaurant direct and go pick it up!).

It's been another lockdown, but finally it's over!

Please note - if you're feeling at all unwell, or have been to any exposure sites, or have been ordered to self isolate, please call us to reschedule any existing appointments. We are all still required to wear masks to attend appointments, and please checkin using our QR code when you arrive, or ask us for help checking in if needed.

Today we were informed of the extension of lockdown until midnight Tuesday July 27th.

We are in the process of contacting all our patients to reschedule routine appointments.

Years ago, we were fortunate enough to visit Gallipoli. The peacefulness and serenity there was a fitting tribute to the thousands of sacrifices made on both sides.

Always a sobering thought that while we're complaining about traffic jams, lockdowns and slow internet, young men and women sacrificed their lives and never grew old.
