Sandown Park is not only home to world's greatest greyhound race, but home to the sport's biggest events! The track is located in Springvale, approximately 35 minutes south east of Melbourne. There is ample parking available as patrons enjoy the fully enclosed, air-conditioned comfort and the modern facilities of the Henry Harrison grandstand which are the equal of any facility or any code in Australia.

Another outstanding Thursday night - Minh was just pipped at the post for the $1000 and had to share it with Michael!
Our favourite Philippine ladies danced the night away again and we found out that winners really are grinners with the dashing performance of The Bagman!
All in all it was a great night.

Introducing 6 year old Emma. This lovely quiet girl retired from racing two years ago and enjoys spending her days laying around being cuddled.
She enjoys the company of other dogs, is very obedient and walks perfectly by your side on the lead. She is extremely quiet and does not bark.
Emma (Emma Banjo) is on the look out for her new family. If you have a spare couch and a little love in your heart - then you could be her perfect match.

Sandown Greyhound Racing Club has reaffirmed its commitment to local community support by continuing its regular contributions to various charitable organisations. Normally renowned for its thrilling greyhound races, the Club has made it a priority to give back to the community in meaningful ways.
Each Tuesday, Sandown Greyhound Racing Club prepares and delivers 200 meals to a local charity in Noble Park, ensuring that those in need receive nourishment and a place to socialise. In addition to preparing these meals, the Club provides two staff members who volunteer their time to serve the meals, making a significant impact on the lives of many.
CEO Adrian Scott said: “Helping others is part of being a community club. This is just one of the many ongoing initiatives that highlight our Club’s dedication to not only providing exciting racing events, but also actively supporting and uplifting the local community.
Through these generous acts of service and charity, Sandown Greyhound Racing Club continues to exemplify the spirit of community involvement and compassion”.

It was some return to Victoria for Explicit last night!
Team Thompson's star chaser didn't have the luxury of leading up the field as he so often does, working hard to get past Shima Current heading down the back but did so in fine fashion. He has returned home from his Brisbane Cup campaign in terrific order, setting a new personal best time of 29.09s.

As a world class greyhound racing venue we host some of the sport’s premier events while offering the very best in patron - and greyhound - amenities and facilities.
Our signature event - the TAB Melbourne Cup - is the world’s richest and most prestigious race and attracts visitors from around Australia and the world. We pride ourselves on racing program the likes of which no other club can boast. Other races that are uniquely ‘Sandown’ including the Speed Star match race series, the Launching Pad sweepstakes event, and the four dog Shootout.
Greyhound welfare is at the forefront of all of thoughts. The club’s dedicated team of track curators is committed to ensuring a safe and fair racing surface at all times. Our five star kennel block was renovated in 2016 and features full air conditioning, dedicated swab bays, a swabbing room, quarantine kennels and a cool down pool, all under CCTV.
We are keen supporters of the Greyhound Adoption Program and you can meet our retired stars every race meeting.
There’s nothing quite like being at the track and seeing these magnificent animals in full flight. But don’t take our word for it - see it for yourself every Thursday night and Sunday afternoon.
