If you have upper back stiffness, try this exercise! All you need is a foam roller or tightly roll up a towel.
Please note, this exercise may not be for everyone. For specific advice, please speak to your health practitioner.
We love to learn and last week we were treated to an absolute pelvic health masterclass from the great Liz Crisp from ๐ค
Yesterday we had an awesome chat with Jessica at Melbourne Hand Rehab ๐คฉ
She shared her knowledge about all things related to hand, wrist and elbow!๐๐ผ
๐ช Do you have shoulder pain or stiffness? Here are 4 simple exercises that you might find helpful!
1. Shoulder Pendulum: you can do this with or without a light weight or bottle of water. Completely relax your arm, and use your body to swing your arm. This can help to reduce shoulder stiffness.
2. Banded rows: this exercise helps to strengthen the muscles around your shoulder blades. It can be helpful for general shoulder stiffness and many shoulder conditions. Tie a resistance band to something sturdy and place one end of the band in each hand. Pull the band toward you and squeeze your shoulder blades together and down as you do so.
3. Upper trapezius muscle stretch: place one hand under your leg, and use your opposite hand to gently pull your head to that side. Hold this for 10-20 seconds. This is great for reducing neck and shoulder stiffness.
4. Shoulder circles: slowly roll your shoulder backward in a circular motion. Aim to do this throughout the day to reduce stiffness.
๐ We hope these help!

๐ฉน Post treatment soreness is common up to 72hrs after treatment (if it persists it is best to gain a health professionals advice)
๐ซ Increase water levels
๐ฅ Apply heat, this can be a warm shower, wheat bag or whatever works for you. This will help to continue to stimulate blood flow.
๐ถโโKeep mobile, although you might be sore it is important to keep moving within your pain limits and with the advice of your practitioner.
