Well where did that 30 years go? How has Kurt been gone that long??
Regardless, his band has certainly left a mark on our generation and will no doubt continue to do so on our future ones.
I’ve enclosed a pic of some stock we just received through the store. Both are original Australian pressings and extremely rare now.

The Australian Tour E.P. Was something I picked up at Gaslight Music in the city when it came out and there was a massive line to get it. The show at The Palace the following night was still one of the loudest shows I’ve ever heard. I also managed to smuggle myself backstage after the show and meet the band. Kurt was not well at all but he was still incredibly friendly and humble. It was a very special and pretty lucky encounter thinking about it now.
So having said that, what’s everyone’s greatest Nirvana memory?

⚙️COG Vinyl Preorder Update #5⚙️
Firstly, apologies for the delays in responding to everyone’s emails and social media messages about when their order is going out. I simply could not reply to the 700 plus messages about this without delaying all your pre-orders further.
So, another 2 cage pallets worth of the limited double packs went out today. That’s 720kgs worth so keep an eye on your tracking and hopefully they will be with you soon.
We are picking up the rest of the limited double packs from the plant tomorrow and we will also be packing and sending them out tomorrow.
The only other 2 variants we are waiting on are the Black & Silver Smash variant of The New Normal and the Rose & Gold Swamp variant of Sharing Space. These are probably not going to be ready until the end of next week. I know it’s not ideal but these particular variants do take a long time to e due to the few different elements required to make them right. Please know I’m doing everything I can to make the process as quick as possible and I appreciate your patience.
So, who has received their vinyl so far? What number did you get if you ordered the limited pack? Hopefully everyone is as happy as I am with the way they all turned out. If you did miss out on a double pack we have less than 100 left. These WILL be a collectors item!

⚙️COG Vinyl Preorder Update #4⚙️
OK folks, the moment you have all been waiting for has arrived! We have vinyl stock in our hands!
Not all of it but we are picking up stock from the pressing plant every day..
We will start packing and sending today so please be patient as it’s going to take 5 of us around a solid week or so to get through all the pre-orders. Please note we won’t have the limited double double packs available or until early next week. There was an issue with the foil printed OBIs and they are getting re-made today.
If you are coming to the Melbourne show tonight and you would like me to bring yours with you, please let me know before 5pm today and I will sort it for you. I can also organise to get it signed for you on the night as a special thanks for the long wait. I’ll be hovering around the Merch stand in the Rare Records shirt so come and say hello!

⚙️COG Vinyl Preorder Update #3⚙️
We are getting very bloody close now! It’s starting to get exciting.
The last few days we have been trying to get the variants as close to the mock ups as possible but with what can be produced locally versus what can be done overseas is different. As you all know, we had to re-start the whole project a couple of months back and change from the overseas pressing plant to local pressing.
On Tuesday, the Amber and Black variant of The New Normal was completed and they were on to the other variants yesterday and today. We had to change the tan colour in all the variants to more of a goldy colour but it actually looks better anyway. Anyone that ordered the Sunk Loto - Between Birth & Death records off us will know the colour im talking about.
So, we will definitely have these ready to send out by the end of next week at the very latest but most likely before. Everyone is literally working day and night to get this over the line. There are approx 5 different manufacturers involved in bringing this together. Foldout poster inserts were completed yesterday and sent to the folders, these will be completed in the morning and then dropped off to the pressing plant to be inserted in covers. Printing of covers will be finished tomorrow and then sent elsewhere for spot varnish and embossing then delivered to the plant on Monday. Black card OBIs are getting sent off for foiling to Knox today and will be back at the pressing plant on Tuesday. Then we need to get them packed and shrink wrapped. I’ll be personally going in to number the OBIs and hel with packing to speed up the process. I think that’s it!
For now, enjoy the video of the Amber and Black variant of TNN being made. As you can see, it’s different to the mock up but looks incredible!
Thanks again for everyone’s patience during this whole process. I’m bloody hanging to hold a finished package in my hand.
One last thing, the in store that COG were going to do next Thursday at Rare Records has unfortunately been cancelled but im trying to work out something for the Melbourne crew on the night of the COG show. Stay tuned!

⚙️COG Vinyl Preorder Update #2 ⚙️
Apologies for the delay on this update but we have been waiting for test pressings to arrive. Sharing Space sounds huge and we should have The New Normal tests back today. Sleeves, inserts, foiling, embossing etc is all under way. So with all that said, we should have stock by mid Feb. Not end of Jan as we thought but the initial delay of moving manufacturing from overseas to local, there have been some continuing challenges and also a lot of different elements to bring these packages together the way they deserve to be presented.
We are also sending out email updates for everyone that has pre-ordered.
So for now we just need to hang out a little longer. Rest assured we are doing everything possible here to get them to you as quickly as possible without compromising quality.

🔘COG Vinyl Preorder Update🔘

So, we have been getting a stack of messages from some eager beavers about these preorders.
As most of you know, the estimated arrival of these was to be the end of November. But here we are, nearly at the end of November but no vinyl yet. Why?

Well, a few reasons, I can’t go in to them all as I’ll be here all day. But, the main reason is that we were not happy with the test pressing. For those that do not know, the vinyl was getting made in the Czech Republic at the same plant that the JV vinyl was made but unfortunately things are not the same there now as it seems and I’ve been constantly chasing them for certain things with weeks going by sometimes without a reply. It took 3 months to get the test pressing so we were already behind the 8 ball time wise before we actually started pressing. Constant efforts to try and resolve the issue just kept failing so we had to make a call.

That call was to cancel the existing order with them and get the records made locally here in Melbourne. I wanted to do this in the first place but was not confident I could replicate the quality I wanted, but after how amazing the pressing I did locally for the ‘Between Birth And Death’ album for Sunk Loto turned out, I knew I could trust them to make any of my crazy visions turn out how I expected. So, as of last week the ball has been rolling again but we pretty much had to start the process again. It was very disappointing but something needed to happen as time was ticking. What does this mean?
Well, it means that your preorders definitely won’t be ready at the end of November but they will be ready around the end of January, I can also keep a close eye on things every step of the way to ensure we have a finished product just as good as the Sunk Loto one we just did. I know quite a lot of you purchased that as well as these so you know exactly what I’m talking about. I still can’t stop looking at the sleeve and the killer variants 🙂

In closing, I know this situation is not ideal but I wanted to be as transparent as I could be, so you all know where we are at. Apologies from us and the band but I can assure you they will be worth the wait.

We will keep you all updated with any progress from this point forward and please know I’m doing everything I can to get these to you all ASAP. I’m hanging just as much as you to see the finished product. For those that haven’t picked one up yet, you can do so via this link:

Due to these being made locally now, our manufacturing costs have gone up quite a bit so we have to pass this on to copies purchased from this day onwards. Even still, for a deluxe triple LP it is still very reasonable compared to regular releases.
