MELBOURNE

Store Manager - Full Time

We currently have an opportunity for the right person to join our team in the role of Store Manager.

The Store Manager will work alongside a team of passionate baristas and pastry chefs, with daily responsibilities balanced between customer-facing retail service and administrative tasks.

As we operate 7 days a week, the Store Manager will need to have a flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends and the public holidays for which we operate.

This is a full-time, salary-based role with an indicative salary range of $73,300 - $83,900 pa, inclusive of superannuation, calculated based on negotiated work schedule.

SYDNEY

Lead Pastry Chef - Full Time

We are looking for the right person to join our Sydney kitchen team in the role of 'Lead Pastry Chef'.

This role is for someone with a few years of experience working in a bakery or pastry kitchen who is ready to step into a leadership position.

The Lead Pastry Chef will be responsible for managing and leading our production team, and ensuring they have everything they need to produce a range of yeast-raised, cake and choux-based donuts.

Full-time role, with an indicative salary of between $74,800 - $85,500 inclusive of superannuation, based on negotiated work schedule.

October is one of our favourite times of the year, because for a few weeks around Halloween we produce a range of pumpkin donuts. Made with real pumpkin puree, the dough has a deep yellow colour and a beautiful depth of flavour which pairs so wonderfully with our pumpkin spice sugar mix. Available daily (until October 31) in small batches.

We are seeking an experienced barista to join us in the role of Operations Manager.

In this role, you will work within our retail team and be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of our two Sydney stores - Barangaroo & Darling Square - inclusive of retail, wholesale, online and events.

Ideal candidates would have specialty coffee experience, some supervisory or managerial experience, strong communication skills, an ability to guide and lead a team of young hospitality professionals and a desire to make others happy.

Our stores operate 7 days a week, and so applicants with a flexible schedule are preferred. A typical 5 day work week would consist of a mix of customer facing and administrative duties.
This is a full-time, salary based role with an indicative salary of $78,400 - $81,900 inclusive of superannuation.

Shortstop Coffee & Donuts are seeking a few more people to join our growing team in Sydney as we head into peak coffee & donut season.

Experience making coffee is not essential, but a keen interest and enthusiasm to learn how to make delicious coffee is! Whether experienced or not, all new employees are provided extensive coffee and service training.

This is a part time role with shifts available across our two Sydney venues - Barangaroo and Darling Square. We have shifts available early morning as well as in the evening, so we would be happy to discuss which shifts best suit you. A minimum commitment of 3 shifts per week is required, while full time availability is preferable.

Gianduia - a blend of hazelnut and chocolate - was originally invented out of necessity in Italy in the early 1800s. As a result of Napoleon's blockade, the supply of cacao to Turin, Italy, was cut off and the thriving chocolate industry there was on the brink of collapse. In nearby Piedmont, hazelnuts were in plentiful supply and so to survive they decided to try blending hazelnuts with chocolate. The result was fantastically delicious and it remains one of the World's most popular chocolate creations to this day. Nutella was a brand of gianduia spread which was launched in 1964 and quickly shot to fame as a 'healthy' breakfast staple. February 5 is World Nutella Day and so, in honour of one of our favourite childhood spreads, we will be serving the Salted Hazelnut Chocolate Raised Donut tomorrow only. Dipped in a house-made gianduia glaze, topped with crushed hazelnuts and a sprinkling of sea salt. Available for one day only.
