๐โโ๏ธ As we all sprint towards the year-end, Kaliba's very own Greg Brown accomplished a personal goal, crossing his own finish line by completing a half marathon in Melbourne.
Greg not only embraced a personal challenge (ask him how his legs are today ๐ฉ), but also contributed to a cause dedicated to mental health awareness ๐ - the 2XU Wellness Run Proudly Supporting Beyond Blue.

While the future looks bright, the past seven years have not been without challenges.
The pandemic turned the tech and IT sales worlds on their heads. We saw businesses come and go, pivot and diversify, and work harder than ever to attract and negotiate with tech talent globally and locally.
Last week, Greg Brown and James Kennedy took a few rare hours out to reflect on and appreciate how far they've come - and, yes, they were wearing our brand colours. And, no, that was not planned! ๐

While perks and benefits play a role in enticing potential employees, it is the company's culture that holds the key to long-term engagement and retention.
A public holiday is always appreciated. But we know this one comes with a deeper appreciation for those who worked incredibly hard with great sacrifice.

EIGHTY PERCENT!
When we asked our network on LinkedIn, that's how many would re-hire a former employee - assuming a good track record and a vacant role.
A further EIGHT PERCENT said it depends on on other circumstances. So, in reality, this figure might be closer to ninety percent!

As we celebrate the achievements of women around the world, it's important to recognise the work that still needs to be done to achieve gender - and, of course, this includes the sector.
To mark this occasion, here are 10 ways that we can all and support women in the technology and IT sales sector:

Well, that was interesting!
After learning of the success of a 6-hour workday implemented by software development company, Code Heroes, we asked our LinkedIn network whether they thought a 6-hour workday could work in your workplace.
At Code Heroes, all employees work between 9 am and 1 pm and refrain from taking extended breaks during this time. They can decide for themselves when to make up the extra two hours.
This shorter, concentrated work day, has boosted their productivity by about 15%!
The votes are in and 51% of those who responded indicated it could work in their workplace, with a further 15% indicating they'd like to try it.
As the world continues to become more flexible, it will be interesting to see whether shorter work days will take off. What do you think?
