Murphy, our youngest Volunteer commenced his volunteering services at MannaCare today at the age of three.
He enjoyed walking with David from our Grevillea Social Support Group participant and ensuring he gets cuddles through out the day to keep everyone warm in winter.

National Volunteer Week is the largest annual celebration around Australia for volunteering. This year the theme for volunteering is “Something for Everyone” highlighting that there is a place for everyone in the world of volunteering. The Celebration function was organised on 20th May 2024 to acknowledge the incredible efforts of all our volunteers on board and to appreciate their selfless work throughout the year in supporting seniors in both our Community and Residential Care services.
We were honoured to have the presence of Federal Member of Menzies Keith Wolahan, Member Legislative Council for North East Metropolitan Richard Welch, Mayor City of Manningham Carli Lange accompanied by four senior councillors, MannaCare Board members and the Executive team. It was indeed a successful event enjoyed by all!
MannaCare's Grevillea House clients celebrated Easter with hot food, live music and dancing ... and of course, chocolate.
Residents at Cassia House and Doncaster Melaleuca Lodge were treated to some Irish Dancers from a local dance school.
MannaCare residents enjoyed a BBQ lunch to celebrate Australia Day.
Melissa returned to her role overseeing Cassia House this week, and says:
"I am really excited to be back at MannaCare from my maternity leave. We had a beautiful baby boy, whose older sister is very smitten. I look forward to meeting new faces, reconnecting with others, and getting to know those who live at Cassia House."
Please join us in welcoming Melissa back to the team.
We are excited to announce that, following an extensive consultation period with residents and their families, the two sections at Doncaster Melaleuca Lodge now have new names.
