Enrise | Need a Tutor provides accessible and equitable Educational support for those disadvantaged, Lessons are delivered online via our proprietary platform.
Need a tutor is an adaptive learning platform matching Indigenous, remote and disadvantaged students with world-class teachers and tutors. By providing interventional personalized tutoring support, we enable children to catch up and close the educational gap. We believe that quality education should not be determined by postcode.
We learned last week that according to the 2023 NAPLAN results, more than three in 10 Australian students are failing to meet national standards in writing, grammar, spelling and numeracy.
And as many as one in 10 have been identified as needing
"additional support" to catch up.
The troubling facts remain: those who aren't meeting expectations are predominantly from low socioeconomic backgrounds, attend schools in rural and remote areas, and are Indigenous.
And if these students do not receive additional support to help them reach required skill levels in reading, writing and numeracy, the flow-on impact in later years and the advent of more advanced subjects will hinder their progression and life outcomes.
Cue Enrise | Need a Tutor.
We exist to provide this additional support to as many challenged students as possible.
A huge thank you to our all our partner organisations enabling us to connect with as many students as possible.
This is what impact looks like.
Tutoring sessions through Enrise | Need a Tutor for students attending Koordak Community Centre in WA.
Thank you to our funding partners who enable these vital services to continue.
"Inequality fears as parents spend big on tutors"
More parents are turning to expensive tutoring services to give their children a “leg up” but there are concerns it is driving a gap between families that can and can’t afford tuition.
This headline couldn't be more correct.
Parents who can afford a tutor, are paying anywhere between $50-$200 per hour while those children most in need cannot afford the same support.
Our waitlist to provide free tutoring through the generosity of our program partners continues to grow.
Huge shoutout to our program partners.
Through their generosity and support of Enrise | Need a Tutor we can provide critical tutoring support to those most in need - free of charge.
If you'd like to be involved in closing the education gap for our most vulnerable, please get in touch.
Help us reduce our waitlist and help those most in need.
