Our team had a fabulous night out on Friday evening in support of the Rotary Club of Ivanhoe at their Trivia extravaganza.
We tested our memories with challenging questions and enjoyed lots of games, music, food and fun with a lively crowd of 100+ guests.
A highly successful event organised by dedicated Rotary volunteers in support of local community organisations Olympic Adult Education and 3081 Angels to which O'Brien's was proud to donate $2,000.
The work done by Rotary is incredibly important to small, local organisations such as these and we acknowledge and congratulate the volunteers on their dedication.

Anshul celebrates five years and is to be commended on his impressive journey from a Graduate to Senior Accountant during that time. Reminder, our office reopens Wednesday 10th January 2024.
Delighted to deliver our reverse advent calendars, food boxes, to CareNet Ltd this week. We packed these recently as part of a community team engagement activity. CareNet is a local food relief charity and introduced the reverse advent calendar initiative this festive season as a creative way for the broader community to provide donations.
On delivery, we toured the facility and learnt that in just the past week, CareNet has experienced a 30% increase in demand for their food relief program. With rising cost of living and additional pressure the festive season brings to families, needs are increasing.
As such, it was wonderful to be able to present a cheque for an additional donation to CareNet from Count Charitable Foundation which dollar matched our contributions as a firm, bringing our combined impact to a total of $6,500.

As community financial pressures continue, food insecurity keeps escalating. Our community partner CareNet Ltd has seen a 60% increase in demand for food in this financial year alone, just a few months.
Thatβs why we spent a morning this week doing our bit to help ease this pressure on families feeling the pinch this Christmas. In teams we shopped for and packed reverse advent calendars, i.e. food hampers, to help ensure that everyone in our community has food this Christmas.
CareNet's reverse advent calendar concept encourages the community to add an item to a box each day for 20 days rather than taking something out.
We have also made a cash donation so CareNet can pack additional hampers. In total we have contributed over 25 hampers towards CareNetβs goal of 500 this year.

In less than a month, our team will be supporting the Olivia Newton John Wellness Centre, by participating in and volunteering at Olivia's Walk for Wellness.
This is the key event on our community initiatives calendar as we committ to taking action to make a positive contribution to the community in which we live and work. The ONJ Wellness Centre, located just 2km up the road, provides wellness therapies to bring comfort and support to people at a time when they need it most.
All funds raised go towards evidence-based programs that reduce the side effects of cancer treatment and help people with cancer to thrive.
