If you are a service provider and you have a personal brand, you might think your website has to have your photo as the main focus.

But what if you’re not comfortable with this approach or you don’t want your photo to be front and centre?

Take a look at this recent website I designed & developed for Dr Trudy Clutterbok, a Psychologist,

Trudy is also an artist and wanted to showcase her work, so I used her self-portrait as the hero image and you can see her art throughout the website illustrating her services.

Writing a book?

The process from start to print can be a long one so a book launch landing page is a great tool you can use, it:

When your book is out you can update to a full site and communicate to those who follow you / subscribe with a link to purchase.

Your website should showcase your brand not only your logo.

What does that mean?

A branded website is more than placing your logo on the site – it involves using your brand colour palate, typography and brand elements throughout.

A good example is a website I recently launched for Active Health Partners in collaboration with who designed the brand and created elements that appear on the website.

Yesterday I hosted 'spend the day with your website' coworking day / workshop. The topic was 'social proofing your website' with a presentation and group discussion.

When a picture is not worth 1000 words...

Sharing something a bit different today for my family law firm clients who requested a website with no photos. As you can see, we achieved an impactful website design by relying on elements of the brand and highlighting the copy.

I was supported by who took the existing brand and developed supporting design elements and extended colour palette, and , who wrote copy with stand-out key messages.

The result-- a memorable beautiful website to set them apart. I love when clients have a clear vision and we can make it happen.

A great example is a recent Shopify website I launched for a florist 💐 her unique creativity is showcased in the photos, colours and design elements throughout the website. This means that her brand stands out and attracts the attention of potential customers who love her product.

Remember to check it often as each time anything changes on Instagram the link can break and will need to be re-connected. (you will not get notified and the space will be blank)

One of the things I love most about my business is long term customers - working with my customers over the years on second and third website!

Just after Christmas I launched a refresh for a client - their second website - a Shopify upgrade and refresh.

We looked at product categories and re arranged to work better, highlighted their best selling products, used fresh photos and implemented a subscription tool to help grow sales

Launched late last year, a new refreshed website for Azure Buyers Agents. Working first on strategy and structure, we identified the target market and services offered to each followed by new visuals & design.

A new feature added is a Google Reviews feed - showcasing great reviews - a great 'social proof' tool.

It was great to work with on her new landing page just before the break.  And the best part?  waking up to a text in the new year letting me know that there were 7 bookings already! I love it when my clients love their new website and especially when it helps them grow their business.

Loved working with Sarah Norris, a Tasmanian based Tarot Reader & Astrologer. Her website is a personal brand website that reflects who she is and how she works, showcasing her services (with online appointments) as well as an online shop for her products.

One way you can add content to your website is articles or dedicated pages that address a specific market.

In this example a family guide to Byron Bay to help promote the holiday house to the family market.

We included ideas for activities, dining and day trips all together helping with site SEO by adding content

Clean Boutique Group is a commercial cleaning business with 45 years of experience. They approached me with a dated website that did not reflect their services so It was a pleasure to work on the new website with a clear strategy and new design.

I love working with my clients as their brand and business grows.

We just launched a full membership portal for called, 'Ignition' and developed a full membership site with 3 levels with Squarespace Members Area. This is a gated portal and includes videos, downloadable PDFs and access to weekly meetings.
