SUNSCREEN- all the things you think you know & some that you don't!!

Did you know:

☀️ All sunscreens give you either physical protection from UV rays (HINT, THIS IS OUR FAVOURITE TYPE) or chemical protection or a combination of both.

☀️ For inflammatory skin conditions like ACNE and ROSACEA we always recommend a physical sunscreen which has the key protection ingredients of ZINC OXIDE and TITANIUM DIOXIDE at a % above 20%.

☀️ You don't need a 50+ sunscreen to be adequately protected from UV rays. In fact, the difference between a 30+ and 50+ SPF is no more than 6%!

☀️ For a sunscreen to be 50+ SPF it MUST have a chemical component, so check the ingredients!!

☀️ For maximum cell protection and skin benefit your sunscreen should have an EPF - ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION FACTOR - these are powerful antioxidant ingredients that protect your cells against free radical damage, like UV exposure.
