For 6 years I’ve been building websites and doing my own designs.

My first business (a health and lifestyle transformation business) exploded in it’s first year and I later created a 9 month transformation digital program.

It was doing well but projections could foretell that I needed help in the digital space.

THE BEGINNING OF THE END

I had created a charity fitness program called FIT 4 Unity. It’s purpose was to bring communities together by causing a ripple effect from individuals transforming their lives and health to effecting loved ones around them and the proceeds from this all would go to community development.

And this is where my choice would start the beginning of the end to this incredible initiative.

I had raised $4.5k for the community in 60 days.. and though I should have trusted my gut and gone ahead with my dream, I was convinced by social media, business coaches, people around me that preyed on my mind and ability to create, that I needed to invest this money into my expansion.

(This is probably sounding like a similar story to some of you)

Each month I watched a thousand dollars leave and though the content I learned was alright.. not that I use any of it to date.. It wasn’t actually bringing what was promised to life.

My website was remade and I tried to justify that because of how much I had spent on it was okay. But it wasn’t. My branding was lost. My message became generic and the initiative to why I started what I started was ruled out by the noise of everyone else.

I WAS ANGRY, UPSET, AND OVER IT.

I rebuilt that same website to how I wanted it too and cut my losses.

though I was rebuilding my brand up again, a window of opportunity presented itself.

See the magic of coincidence is that I was helping other people around me with website fixes, designs and updates out of just purely because I could, and I enjoy the satisfaction of helping someone else.

I never once thought that it could be a business.

My beautiful friend Erika from The Queen of Confidence told me that I had to make a business out of it, she had people who needed my help and to do it.

I was uncertain and had to think it through.

I envisioned if my online program came to an end and I took off a web design agency.. What would it look like?

The anger in me rose and I could see myself giving a big finger to the industry as I countered what they did to everyday people who can’t help but want to do good to this world, by being an agency that actually cared and delivered the results.

Passion rose in me and I went all in.

SPIRAL ORB - AN ORIGIN STORY

I wanted to connect what I was feeling to what I wanted to create and I needed a mascot that would represent that perfectly.

I knew that in order to this, I had to resemble a word and find a spider with a personality and design that would match it.

My power word was DYNAMIC.

So I began searching online for words that resonated with dynamic.. and then.. SPIRAL popped out.

From here I found The Golden Orb Web Weaver.

It was in this spider that all of my values lined up.

Gorgeous to look at, but scary to trust. It’s naturally judged and categorized with deadly spiders but isn’t deadly at all..

It produces a web that shines gold in sunlight and is so powerful it even effects small birds and bats.

Everyday the Golden Orb Weaver eats a portion of it’s web and reproduces it’s spiral keeping it’s level of maintenance at an exceptionally high standard.

It is a pest cleaner, eradicating pests especially around homes.

When it has offspring they all share the same web until they’re ready to go and create their own spirals.
