When I design lighting, it’s crucial for me to consider and then create an object that thrives in its two states - ON and OFF.

It’s something I always ask myself throughout the design process: how will it look when it is off, and how will it look when it is switched on and comes to life?

Last week, I delved into our interpretation of biophilic design and how it inspires us.

From the darkness of night to the light of day our WISTERIA Chandelier is a cascading glistening jewel that is inspired by the splendour of the Wisteria vine in full bloom - thousands of smooth and faceted glass spheres are encased in glass flutes and suspended from tiered LED rings [the universal symbol representing infinity]

Drawing on biophilic lighting design principles, we took inspiration from a natural wonder and landscape to create our Monolith Pendants.
These hand-spun brass fixtures mirror the grandeur of a massive rock formation thrusting from the earth, and seamlessly blend nature within the indoor space.

I love biophilic lighting design - where natural elements are ingratiated into light fixture or architectural schemes, it creates this seamless connection between indoor spaces and nature.

And the approach enhances well-being and comfort with nature-inspired patterns, organic shapes, and natural materials, and we all know these offer benefits such as improved health, reducing stress, and of course an enhanced aesthetics.

Falling Leaves 2.0 Lighting Installation Hotel in Adelaide is inspired by the Art Nouveau period, the floating glass motifs adorn the reception desk creating sinuous pools of light on the ceiling directly above.

Opening in mid April with our overlapping, roof-tile inspired pendants and Mini Monolith drops Brewery has been putting the craft beer scene on the map with its innovative brews and vibrant atmosphere.

With an industrial vibe the converted warehouse unique design is created by .com.au.

Each Roof Tile pendant was carefully dismantled for convenient transportation to Perth. The innovative construction ensured easy assembly onsite, simplifying the installation process.
