Bayside Blades will be closed for Good Friday but we'll be back for the rest of the long weekend with limited store hours, with regular hours commencing again from Tuesday 2nd April

Our Tuesday Night Skate group gets to St Kilda skatepark for a quick stop at about sunset this time of year. Quiet park last night with a couple of skateboarders having the park to themselves.
In a couple of weeks time, our skate will be starting in the dark.
Yay, the paths get quiet and not having to watch for wayward volleyballs that the beach volleyballers occasionally send out onto the path in St Kilda.
Last night was also a night of random people just stepping out onto the pathway in front of us. 😡😩 We wear lights as well to alert other pathway users.
Weird how we have the occasional night of dodging pedestrians.
Keeps us on our toes😆

Well that’s a wrap then, first day of Speed Nationals 2024 done and what a day it was.

After losing the mornings program to wet weather, the afternoon featured a string of distance races and some amazing efforts, given the track was a mixture of wet and dry.

Bayside Speed Team members Ben Randall, Oscar Skidmore, Alex Myint and Stuart Cowin all featured in the medal count, today.

Congratulations to all the winners and to everyone for taking on the challenging conditions so admirably.
