Dressing up for Book Week!!! 🦄🐛📚
National science week is Australia’s annual celebration of science and technology.
These activities help children understand that they can use science to learn more about the world around them and nurture the natural curiosity in young children. It also allows children to learn through inquiry and make their own discoveries.
Reminder that next week is book week!
Please come dressed as your favourite book character
Today we say goodbye to our friend and fantastic Educator and Chef Tracey.
Tracey will be working as a room leader at another service.
We will miss her big heart & smiley face.

As was just announced by the state government, Victoria will enter a state wide 7 day Covid-19 lockdown. Childcare can remain open to ALL children so all parents are welcome to continue to bring their children in. We have returned to dropping off and picking up from the front gate so please return to previous lockdown procedures when doing so. We will post further information if and when it is announced.
Just a reminder to parents, that we are using the Xplor Home app, which you should all have, for important communication such as this. We have posted this message here on Facebook as many parents have not seen previous messages from us. Please ensure that you have notifications turned on for messages in the Xplor append that Xplor Home has permission to give you notifications. We can help you set this up if you have any difficulty.
Thanks
Little Munchkins Management.
Happy Mother’s Day to all of our wonderful Mothers!
Today we celebrated Mother’s Day with an Afternoon Tea and activities.
Thank you to everyone who were able to attend. It was a great afternoon and such a great turnout!
Can all parents please check their xplor app today. You may have a task to complete, please check in messages under 15th April in regards to CWA agreement. Thank you
Parents,
Our software rollout is just about complete. The Xplor Home app that you should all have enables us to send individual and group messages to you. All future information will be communicated to you via the messages function of the Xplor Home app.
We recommend you have push notifications turned on for the Xplor Home app in your phones settings and that push notifications for messages is enabled in the app itself.
You will find messages from us under Account which is selected at the bottom right corner of the screen, then selecting Messages. You can also reply to our messages from there.
Thanks
Little Munchkins.
Happy 4th Birthday Nathan! 🥳
Parents, please enable push notifications for the Xplor Home app as we will be using this to send notifications and announcements to you.
You first need to allow the App to display notifications in your phones settings. Once this is done, and if you find you’re getting too many notifications from Xplor Home, you can go into the Xplor Home app settings and select which notifications you would like to receive. There won’t be many at this stage.
We will publish a recommended list of the minimum notifications you should have turned on in the future.

Updating our new software package rollout.
We are progressing well with the rollout but we ask all parents to set up their Xplor password and App so that they can sign their child in and out of the service. Many (most) parents have arrived this morning without having set up their access. This has made the morning very hectic for us. Setting up is a simple process that is outlined below....
1. Locate the email you received inviting you to join Xplor. The sender is Xplor, not Little Munchkins Childcare. Check your junk or spam folder if you haven't received it.
2. Click on the Set Password link in the email to create a password. After the password is set you'll be prompted to sign in to the Xplor WEB interface. There is no need to sign in at this point.
3. Download the XPLOR-HOME app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. There are also direct links to the app download within the invitation email you received.
4. Use your email address and password you created to sign into the Xplor Home App
5. You're done. You can now use the app to sign your child in and out by selecting Sign In/Out at the bottom of the app, give the app access to you camera and scanning the QR code at the service. The QR code changes daily.
If you haven't received your invitation email please contact the center.
If you arrive at the center without the app set up you'll be required to set it up at the service prior to being able to drop your child off as it is required to sign your child in. To save time, please have it set up prior to attending if you're able to do so.
If you're having difficulties setting it up, we can help you when you arrive.
Thanks
Little Munchkins
By now all parents should have received their welcome email from our new software package Xplor, inviting them to download the Xplor Home app, create their password for access and their Xplor ID for signing their children in and out of the service. If you haven’t done this already, we encourage you to do so before Monday when we’re scheduled to go live with the new package.
If you haven’t received your welcome email don’t worry, we’re still ironing out problems with missing and incorrect email addresses, as well as with parents that already have an Xplor ID from another service. If you haven’t already done so, please contact us and let us know if you haven’t received your welcome email.
Thanks for your assistance and understanding.
The Little Munchkins Team.
Reminder that this week is World Health Week: children can come dressed as Nurses/doctors
End of week activities
Hi parents, we are so happy restrictions have eased & we are able to allow parents back into the centre.
However in saying this, we ask that you please refrain from bringing your child in if they are sick. We still need to adhere to COVID safe rules.
Therefore if your child has a cough, runny nose, green nose, temperature etc please keep them home until all symptoms have gone.
If your child becomes ill whilst at childcare you will be contacted and asked to pick them up.
We thank you for your understanding.
Have a safe & Happy Easter.
See you all next Tuesday.
To All Parents,
As we already mentioned, we are transitioning to a new software data system that is scheduled to go live on the 12th of April. All parents should now have received a parent information pack from us that explains what you need to do. If you haven't received it yet, please check your junk email folder.
We are available to answer any questions you may have but please be aware that we are learning the new system as well and may not have all the answers to your questions at this stage. We will endeavor to get back to you with answers as we have them.
Regards
The Little Munchkins Admin Team.
