Did you know July is UV safety awareness month?
It is important to protect our eyes and skin from the harmful effects of UV by wearing sunscreen, protective clothing and eyewear, and seeking shade.

What does an eye test at eyetech involve?

Once you’re checked-in, one of our friendly staff members will take you through for pretesting using the latest equipment. The pre tests will be specifically selected by your optometrist for your needs.

You’ll then be taken through by your optometrist who will spend up to 45 minutes with you (for new patients) to ensure we need your eye health needs and understand your individual visual requirements.

You’ll then be handed back over to the front staff who will assist in selecting your new glasses of ordering contacts lenses if required.

Whew!! It's been a busy week for the team at Eyetech!
A few of us attended a Cornea and Contact Lens Society Evening run by Jess who is the president, with Dr Jim Kokkinakis dispelling the myths of dry eye. Fantastic attendance of 70!
Jess also attended the Australia & New Zealand Cornea Meeting where she got to hear from the latest from the best minds in Cornea.
We also did training to be a part of a clinical trial for two novel myopia control treatments.
Jess gave a webinar with Jim Kokkinakis and J&J on the psychological and lifestyle benefits of contact lenses!
Jess, Victor and Jeremy then ran a workshop at the Royal Children's Hospital on the handling, insertion and removal of contact lenses.
And in between that Jess snuck to Tassie to visit the Myopia Profile founders, lead researchers Kate and Paul Gifford.
Oh and we saw our usual base of our wonderful patients.
All in 8 days! At Eyetech, we strive for excellence, and we don't do things by halves! 💪🙌

Over the weekend our second youngest member Ryosh of our Eyetech family celebrated his first birthday!
Our little s***k also got to meet the youngest Eyetech gal Mia. They are both perfect little humans, as gorgeous on the outside as they are inside. We loved celebrating with him, and look forward to watching our two gorgeous kids grow ❤️❤️
