🇦🇺 Anzac Day is a day to remember the fallen who gave the ultimate sacrifice for this nation we call ours today.

History has shown that the battle of Gallipoli is the only battle where true mateship has won and become an example to the world of how meaningless wars are and the only truth is the innocent lives that are lost, and the tears that follow for those fallen.

The great Turkish leader of the Ottoman forces at Gallipoli, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, has summed up the mateship bond the two nations share in his words to the mothers of all fallen ANZACs in one of the bloodiest single battle in history where the ANCACs and Allied forces lost over 44,000 (over 8,000 Australian) and the Ottoman defending forces lost over 86,000 young men and women;

“Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives...
you are now lying in the soil of a friendly country.

Tek Foods Australia Pty Ltd currently have full time permanent and Casual opportunity for a Delivery Driver/ Jockeys at our Somerton Site in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne able to speak fluent Turkish an advantage.

Key responsibilities include:

· Busy, multiple drop delivery role
· Maintain a delivery schedule
· Load and unload products onto truck
· Maintain truck in a clean and professional state at all times
· Ensure driving style is at all times law abiding and professional
· Provide exceptional customer service
· Other duties as required.

Successful applicants must have:

· MR License (Medium Ridged)
· A good level of fitness due to the manual
· handling nature of the role
· Highly motivated with a strong work ethic
· A team player approach
· Flexibility to work overtime when required
· Be customer orientated with a "can-do" attitude

An exciting opportunity exists at our Somerton Plant for experienced Skilled Meat Workers - Lamb Bo**rs (FQ) and Slicers. Our processing facility is a 6-day operation.

This is an excellent opportunity to join our dynamic exciting team. Positions are available Full Time or Casual with the potential to earn well above award wages.

Responsibilities:

· To adhere to Workplace Health & Safety and Quality procedures
· Ability to work within a team environment with the ability to take directions
· Demonstrate integrity and good presentation
· The ability to work in a fast paced environment
· Superior attendance
· Performing general Boning/Slicing duties
· High focus & attention to detail

Criteria:

· A minimum of 1 year's proven experience in Lamb Boning(FQ) and Slicing duties required.
· Proven high level of knife sharpening skills
· Knowledge and understanding of Quality Requirements
· Relevant qualification (Cer2/3 Meat processing) advantageous but not essential

The individual will have a great personality, who can work well with others and have a strong customer focus and the ability to engage with our customers. All with a good sense of humour. This is a very hands on role in a rapidly growing business.


What we will need from you:

· Fully qualified Butcher
· Have a high attention to safety, hygiene and have knowledge of HACCP procedures
· A passion for your craft & ability to provide an exceptional customer service
· To be a team player with a can-do attitude & ability to multi-task
· To be driven in achieving store sales budgets and KPI's


Responsibilities:

· Maintain store presentation standards
· Coach and provide ongoing training/development and support for your team

We are currently closed due to the increasing high levels of Covid-19 in our surrounding areas.

As directed by the Department & Health Services , front line workers are required to have 1st vaccination by the 15th of October 2021 before they can commence work.

We currently have 70% of our staff with 1st vaccination, by the 11th of October they will all have had their 1st vaccinations, that is when we anticipate to open.
