Pennant Season 2024 is coming! Please read on for the details!!!!

Viewbank Tennis Club is planning to register teams to play in the 2024 Tennis Victoria Pennant Season.

Tennis Victoria Pennant is the most prestigious and longest-running tennis league in Australia. It caters to metropolitan clubs with players looking for the challenge of level-based competitive play. With up to 11 grades, there's a standard of play for everyone.

Playing Pennant is a great opportunity for players to improve their tennis, while playing in a team atmosphere!

Playing times in 2024 are as follows

Women's: 8:30 am Saturday (Grades 1-5), 1 pm Saturday (Grades 2-5), and 1 pm Sunday (Grades 3-5)

Men's: 1 pm Saturday (Grades 1-11), 1 pm Sunday (Grades 3-11)

Men's Masters: (35+ ages): 1 pm Saturday (Grades 1-4)

Key dates

Team registrations close at 11:59 pm, Sunday March 3rd, 2024

Season starts: Saturday, 27th April,

Types of Competition

SENIOR - Start time 1.15pm Saturday & Sunday

a) Senior Open Doubles Sets - Saturday afternoon - Summer & Winter
Four person, (any combination of men and/or ladies) will play six, 8 game tie-break sets T/B 8-all.

b) Open Singles/Doubles - Sunday Afternoon
Two person, (any combination of men and/or ladies) will play three rubbers - one singles each and one
doubles, all best of three, 6 game tie-break sets TB at 6 all.

c) Singles/Doubles - Saturday afternoon
Four person team (any combination of men and/or ladies) to play four singles - best of two sets, if one set
all then match tie-break to determine the match. Two six game T/B doubles sets (T/B at 6 all).
