October 26 is Inters*x Awareness Day, highlighting the human rights issues faces by Inters*x people around the world. In June this year, the ACT has taken a groundbreaking step by banning irreversible medical procedures for young inters*x children without their consent.
This landmark decision recognises the importance of empowering inters*x individuals to make decisions about their own bodies and consent to what happens to them. It ensures that they have the right to fully understand the implications of any medical interventions and have a say in their own healthcare journey.
We look forward to continued progress for inters*x people in other states and territories because everyone has a right to consent to what happens to their own body.

During As*xual Awareness Week, we're celebrating the as*xual community and emphasize the importance of inclusive consent education. At our organisation, we believe that consent education should be accessible and relevant to people of all s*xual orientations, including those who identify as as*xual.
Consent is a fundamental aspect of healthy relationships, regardless of one's s*xual orientation. By raising awareness about as*xuality and incorporating it into our Consent 101 workshop, we strive to foster a culture of understanding, respect, and consent for everyone.
We recognise that as*xual individuals may have unique experiences and perspectives when it comes to consent. Our aim is to provide a safe and inclusive space where as*xual individuals can explore their boundaries, learn about consent, and feel empowered to communicate their needs and desires.
Let's celebrate As*xual Awareness Week by promoting consent education that embraces diversity and recognizes the importance of respecting individual identities. Together, we can create a world where everyone's boundaries are acknowledged and consent is valued.

At Empowered Together, we seek to ensure our mission is guided by and is in solidarity with the work of First Nations’ activists and communities. Historically, First Nations peoples in Australia have not consented, nor been able to consent, to the treatment and laws that have restricted their rights. We believe establishing a Voice to Parliament is an opportunity to progress as a nation and elicit meaningful change for the First Nations community and all of Australia.
We will be supporting a YES vote in the referendum on October 14. Together for a better future
