What an incredible day of giving back with Origin Energy volunteers on the GoodCompany Volunteer Mystery Bus! 🚌

This time, we teamed up with Sustain The Australian Food Network at Oakhill Farm in Preston. 💚

Oakhill Farm, a vibrant community space and food forest, has been a cornerstone of the local community since its transformation began in 2021. Sustain, a “think and do” network, specializes in creating sustainable and healthy food systems. 🌱 ✨

Their mission is to transition to a food system that nurtures thriving communities, individuals, and ecosystems. Our dedicated Origin volunteers harvested Saltbush and Broccoli, washed produce, cleaned the community garden, and organized, packeted and planted seeds to ensure that fresh produce reaches those in need within the community. 🌾

A huge thank you to Sustain: The Australian Food Network for their unwavering commitment to community and to Origin Energy for driving positive change through corporate volunteering.

We’re excited to announce that the NPS for this GoodCompany Volunteer Mystery Bus trip, once again, reached an amazing 100! 🙌

Chooseday 11th June - Choose Your Health... Man! It's a perfect time to shine a light on the importance of physical, mental, and emotional health for men. 💙

🚍 ✨GoodCompany just took the amazing Burch & Co team on an unforgettable adventure onboard the Volunteer Mystery Bus!

Today, we made a huge impact at Collingwood Children's Farm, a not-for-profit gem nestled on the beautiful Wurundjeri/Woiwurrung country along the Yarra River in Abbotsford, Naarm. The farm exists to support people experiencing adversity and is a haven for children and adults alike.

🌟 Teamwork and volunteering are powerful forces for change, and today we experienced it firsthand. Here’s what we achieved together:
🌿 Cleaned and raked up the outdoor cafe area, wheelbarrowing leaves for compost for sustainable use.
🌿 Built a sturdy 20m barrier fence for the winter bonfire.
🌿 Wheelbarrowed loads of firewood and crates for the bonfire.
🌿 Cut and sanded wood to construct a new 20m fence for the horse stables.
🌿 Shifted gravel to improve damp areas around the farm.
🌿 And of course... patted and cared for the adorable goats.

Volunteering as a team not only strengthens bonds and boosts staff morale, but also drives real, positive change in our community.
