Great to see so many new, and familiar, faces at the Deakin University Student Association Beats & Eats today 🥳 We are holding T3 sessions and would love to see you in HE2.007 on Tuesday the 31st (tomorrow) from 1-3 🧡

That’s Trimester Two in the books for Deakin Debating Society and what better way to finish then by celebrating our 2023 members!

A special thanks to our outgoing 2023 DDS Executives Jarrod Hurst, Pei Hua Liu & Spencer Smith 👏

Jarrod has been an exec for the last four years, including 2021 & 22 Club President, representing us at Easter’s and Australs.

Pei Hua finishes with two years on the exec including as 2023 Club President, representing Deakin at Easter’s and ABPDC.

Spencer served as an exec this year in addition to competing at Australs and MUDS Pro-Am.

A huge shoutout to everyone who has been part of our club in 2023. We look forward to introducing you to the 2024 team soon, and sharing our exciting Tri 3 plans 🧡

During the mid-year break, the Deakin Debating Society sent a team to the Australasian Inter-varsity University Debating Championships in beautiful Krabi, Thailand.

We had the pleasure of competing against teams from Australia, Macau, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, China & Taiwan. It was a fantastic experience for our members flying the flag for Victoria alongside the Melbourne University Debating Society.
