Hi everyone, and happy October! As you may have noticed, I haven't been posting much at all this year.

This is because I have had a lot of really exciting things happen. For those who don't already know, I have been building a brand new private hair and beauty studio at 7 Stayton Street Adamstown Heights.

I finally get to open my beautiful french doors tomorrow! Thought I'd give you a sneak peak of the doors. Thank the Lord, it's finally done. It's taken just about a full year of blood, sweat, and tears. But my goodness, do I adore the new space.

The other big thing this year is that I got engaged to my amazing fiancè, Alex. As everybody knows, diamonds are a girls best friend. So I have been a bit distracted looking at my ring. (I'm sorry I can't help it, I love anything that sparkles). He has truly been my rock this year with the building of the salon. I truly couldn't have done it without his expertise and support.

Happy late February everyone! I just thought I would write an update because I haven't posted since December. This year is just flying by so quick!

I have gotten a couple of comments from guests about my posts. And how I haven't been posting as much. When I first opened my studio, I wanted my social media to be more about before and after makeovers. As everyone knows, I love a good makeover. I also wanted to help my fellow hairdressers with the process and colour formulas. This is to help them achieve a similar look for their clients, if they so desire.

The problem with that is now I have so many gorgeous regulars. That means I haven't done a lot of massive makeovers recently. While this is a fabulous problem to have, it means I don't have as much to post.

This post has been a long time coming but it needed to be perfect. Back on the 22/2/22 I got the honour of creating this beautiful look on Crystal. It is always such an honour when I am asked to do the hair and makeup on a gorgeous bride. Crystal and I have been through so much together to give her the perfect platinum blonde for her wedding. Happy Easter everyone! I'm back with a gorgeous vibrant colour on the beautiful Melanie. We recreated her colour that we did back in 2019. This time with my new luxurious colours from Alfaparf milano. The blonde balayage in her before picture was actually a colour that I did a year prior. Held up pretty well if I do say so myself. This colour is a bit higher maintenance but with the right take home care we can still keep the colour looking fresh. Using a treatment mask and adding some matching colour pigments is the perfect solution. - Gabrielle xx

Today I had the pleasure of helping Sarah be brave and shave at Newcastle private hospital. The world's greatest shave raises money for the leukaemia foundation. Sarah is one of my favourite people on this planet. I am so damn proud of her, isnt she just amazing! Side note, how does she still look stunning with a shaved head?!

Well I don't know about you but 2022 has not been kind to me so far. I have had covid and tonsillitis within a couple of weeks of each other. It was not a fun time. I was so anxious and heartbroken to have to postpone so many of my guests so I could isolate and recover. But I am so thankful that just about everyone was understanding and kind.

Now that I am getting back into the swing of things I'm so excited to present to you my makeover on the beautiful Laura. I love getting to know new guests and she was no exception. When speaking to Laura/ Miss Rose she reminded me so much of the character 'Miss Honey' from one of my favourite childhood movies 'Matilda'. She is the school teacher we all wanted growing up. She gives her students encouragement and support when they need it most. She will go out of her way to make sure they feel heard and seen. During these last couple of years with covid, meeting new guests like Laura gives me faith in humanity in these dark times. - Gabrielle xx

Today is finally the day!

2 days until opening! We are back with another before and after on the beautiful Indi. Indi's hair was in desperate need of some love. This colour was a special gift to herself right before her birthday. We wanted something very subtle to help even out the colour but not make it boring. We did scattered soft carmel babylights all over with a root melt. This helps blend right into Indi's natural colour for a super low maintenance finish. This will give some definition to the hair even when it is not styled. This helps break it up so it's not just a plain block colour. I absolutely love doing these colours and it helps when I have such a lovely woman to create them on. - Gabrielle xx

- Keune cream bleach with 9% applied in back to back babylight foils teased and blended on the roots to ends. Processed for 1 hour.
- Keune colours 4.7, 5.11 and 6.1 in-between foils for 30 minutes.

Look at this absolutely beautiful bride. It was an absolute honour to be the chosen hairdresser for Kiarnie's wedding. I have gotten the pleasure of getting to know Kiarnie over many years. I met her when I was just an apprentice. Little did I know that I was going to be the one to do her hair on her most special day. It's just amazing how life works. Custom colouring kit includes:

This is just to get you through this lockdown period. Every kit will be custom made to make sure you achieve your desired result. This colouring kit can be used for toning blonde hair, covering greys or a full colour refresh. This kit includes everything you need to do your colour yourself, safe at home. To ensure your safety all products will be bought to you through contactless home delivery.

Unfortunately this does not include any kind of lightening colouring products. I do not recommend doing any hair lightening colours yourself. Even if you do have professional hair products. Please do not use any supermarket box dyes in your hair. It's not worth the risk of damaging your luscious locks!

Look at this gorgeous blank canvas I got to work on. I had the pleasure of being the first one to colour Sienna's virgin hair. We wanted to do something very subtle and soft as it was her first time. This was taken the day before Sienna turned 18. With scattered and blended babylights from root to tip it gives Sienna the perfect sunkissed golden hour vibe. Needless to say her 18th birthday selfies will be absolutely fire. It's always such a honour to be trusted with someones virgin hair. Up next we have courageous Kathryn. Kathryn is a single mother looking after her beautiful young daughter. She always puts her daughter before herself and spoils her in every way she can. But finally it was Kathryn's turn to be spoilt and looked after. It has been 1 full year since anything has been done to her hair. To make sure it was going to be low maintenance for her we did some blended foils at her roots and a root melt to futher soften the look. This will ensure the foils blend into her natural hair colour as it is growing out and doesn't leave a strict regrowth line. This colour is perfect for someone who still wants their hair to look fabulous but doesn't have time to sit in the salon for hours every 6 weeks. Cost effective and time efficient for any busy mother.

I often get asked if I do kids haircuts. The answer: Yes of course I do! Look at these two gorgeous boys. They are looking so handsome after their hair cuts. I always make sure the kids that come in my studio feel as comfortable as possible. After all no one really wants someone waving a sharp object an inch away from their face, it can be a scary time! These two boys were so well behaved I couldn't help but give them a chocolate for being so gentlemanly after their hair cuts. Summer hair vibes! Who else is getting ready for their summer hair makeover? Christie wanted an all over brightened colour for summer. Hair make over for the beautiful Kelly for a country family photoshoot. I had so much fun creating this look with Kelly. We wanted a low maintenance colour with a natural sunkissed finish.
