As a child, I would look at myself in the mirror, take pride in my appearance. Walking past a glass shop front ide look.
Family and friends would say things like.
"Stop looking at your self in the mirror, "
"Your so vein"
"Stop loving yourself"

When in actual fact that effected me growing up, almost being ashamed of wanting to look at myself.
Ashamed of wanting to love me.
I look back now and am proud of taking notice In myself.

Was it me being insecure or me just loving me, I'm not sure maybe a bit of both.

Now if someone says to me.
" you love yourself, "
or what ever kind of comment.

My response is " YES, F**K YES I DO, "
I've worked dam hard to love who I am, and that makes me who I am today.

It is extremely powerful being able to truely love yourself within, Naturally you're going to start pushing out the negative and attracting positive.

Don't get me wrong there is a huge difference between being in love with you and being a self absorbed flop begging for attention.

Confidence and a dash or arrogance is ok.

A lot of arrogance, self indulged and rude is not ok.

Don't ever think you're better than someone else, we are all equal our hearts beat, we breathe the same air and we die.

Begin to work on loving you and watch how much things start to change for the good. 👍🏼

About the position:

I am seeking a like minded, passionate and enthusiastic Remedial massage therapist to join the team.
Due to increased client base, it’s time for the business to grow. With that I am looking for another Remedial Massage therapist to build this business with and be able to help more in our community without having large wait times. The treatments will vary from client to client, and you yourself will have your own clients, treatment styles and treatment plans.
RDR says YES to everyone.
Typically we treat athletes and individuals who want the best for themselves. Whether that be someone who trains Monday to Friday, or is in a national team representing and at an elite level.

This is not just your average position.
You will be valued and appreciated for your time, effort and knowledge.
There is no boss / employee attitude.
Just simply a “TEAM” and creating a culture is the way I want to grow.

Hours: Start off on a casual basis aiming 15 - 18 hours per week.
Happy to discuss self employed.
This will vary in the growth phase of building your client base.
Tuesday afternoons / evenings
Thursday mornings
Friday afternoons / evenings
Every second Saturday morning

Hourly rate: Well above award rate also pending knowledge, experience and modalities.

All equipment ie / Towels, wipes, needles, tooling and table supplied.

What RDR asks from you:
•Diploma qualified Remedial Massage
•First Aid
•Excellent anatomy knowledge
•Registered with a Massage association
•All insurances
•A genuine care for your clients and wanting to make a difference
•Keen, enthusiastic and truely passionate for what you do
•Cleanliness is a must

Prefer:
Dry needling qualified with other modalities.
Or willingness to learn

Interested in doing Pregnancy and post natal massage, no experience is fine courses can be paid for.

Many times over I have been asked what made you want to do Remedial Massage ? Why leave such a high paying job and the security….

Remedial massage treatments for me and the knowledge from the sessions literally kept me going and got me back going again.

My whole life I have been an overactive young man. Whether it’s in the gym, running, swimming, motorbikes, mountain biking or cramped up it’s a stupidly awkward spot in a machine in my previous career. It was just apart of my routine.

Most aches, pains, impingements tight muscles, dysfunctions that I see daily in the clinic room I have experienced and know the similar pains, referrals and odd feelings your feeling. Yes all situations are different and each client is not the same as the last, but also pain levels are different and pain is not a dictator or a great indicator of what’s actually going on, but I have had my fair share of them lol.

I just wanted to be able to help and with my positive experience with massage I felt that I was crazy to not follow my passion and create the dream I had.

First day back today from Lockdown … and it went fantastic !!! 👍🏼👍🏼🔥🔥

This ones a shout out to my mum. This photo was taken some time ago back when I was massaging from home. When I told mum I wanted to change career paths she said “mate if that’s what you want to do, then do it. But if your going to, you give it 100 percent and nothing less.” she was the first person I massaged once I started college and she was the first person I used the Cups on “ picture above “, mum is one of the many clients that massage has truely changed her life. Literally, having neck surgery and getting zero results. Mum comes and receives treatment every 3 - 4 weeks, we do a Deep Tissue massage through the back, shoulders neck and arms, we then do glide cupping, parked cupping on the back and around her left Deltoid we park the cups and do some active movement. We do both sides so she doesn’t feel uneven but the focus is on the left shoulder and left side of the neck. It is truely a feeling like no other when you see a client and especially a loved one getting results from your work. ❤️🔥💥 My aim in this career is not only provide relief in the area of pain and dysfunction, but to find the reason why !

Relaxation at its best!! My wonderful client .real.alexandra had her first ever cupping treatment after some Deep Tissue massaging through the upper back, neck and shoulders. “Game changer”, Alex mentioned how much more relaxed she felt leaving the room.

I know for my self, when I’m needing a massage it starts playing a mental effect just as much as a physical effect on the body. Frustrated with not being able to train how I want to, or lift the weight I usually would, even day to day things noticing pain.

So I understand what it’s like being tight, having impingements and the frustration it brings.

How I believe I will differ my self from some therapists is I will listen to you, your frustrations and what your doing for the pain to become noticeable or what aggravates it, not just a standard routine sequenced massage.

Every day the motivation is high to help, help, help get you as a client the relief you deserve. It may take a few sessions and that rehab work inbetween, but also if it is something more medically serious that I am not able to provide information on, I will refer you onto my list of professionals within the health profession that you may be needing.

Waiting a certain amount of time to get in and see someone is gruelling, so when that day comes it’s exciting and full of hope to be able to get relief.
