Contract Works cover is a Material Damage and Liability cover predominantly for Builders, Carpenters and other trades involved in Construction works.

It is seen as one of the most complex covers in the Commercial Broking space.

There are two types of cover:
- Transfer / turnover
- Run off / Contracts commenced

A snap shot:

Transfer is a turnover policy and covers the projects undertaken during the policy period. This doesn’t cover any projects commenced prior to cover unless agreed by the Insurer.

Run off / Contracts commenced covers contracts commenced during the policy period and covers until project completion (subject to the construction period). It does not cover any contracts commenced.
