How It Started
This organisation was formed to cater for the needs of amputees in this, the Northern Region. A public meeting in the Newcastle City Hall Council Chambers, chaired by the Lord Mayor Mrs Joy Cummings, with an attendance of 250 was held on Wednesday, March 3rd 1976. Our page is to assist our organisation in the ongoing education and support of fellow amputees and their
families, friends and supporters. Also, a place to connect with others to discuss any amputee related issues, tips or news. We are a Volunteer Group have members spread across the Newcastle and Hunter area so chances are there will be somebody not far from you!
We have updated the 3 NDIS participant booklets.
Updates to the booklets include changes to the NDIS Act, clearer language and information on using the my NDIS app.
