Blackbutt parkrun

Blackbutt parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 8am in Newcastle, NSW, Australia. Blackbutt parkrun is FREE and open to people of all standards and ages, both as volunteers and as runners / walkers. We encourage people of every ability to take part, from those taking their first steps in running to Olympians, from juniors 5 years

The weather was fine,

‘Twas the eve before parkrun and all ‘round the house the pending participants were feeling grouse.

As a tip, before sipping on the sauce you should plan for the wet weather course.

Should you feet be asking ‘oh why’, our friends from Athlete’s Foot will be there with Hoka Bondi series 8 for you to try.

In the morning bring your rhythm and rhyme and we’ll all have a grouse time!

90 runners/walkers joined us for beautiful conditions this morning, including a couple of first time parkrunners and some visitors ( hello Picton!). Congratulations to Brad (150) and Michelle (350). Good luck to those heading to City to Surf!

87 people participated today! It was a bit more wet than hoped. Great to host some visitors and overseas guest.
