Phil will be part of an impressive lineup of speakers and will be presenting on a panel discussing how to empower the next generation of female athletes, sharing insights from our internationally acclaimed Daughters and Dads programs.

Since 2015, when HMRI provided us with initial seed-funding, we have had 6000 daughters and dads complete the program around the world! 🌍

Daughters & Dads Football recently won the prestigious ‘Best Community Based Initiative of the Year’ at the Parks & Leisure Australia Regional Awards of Excellence. The award recognises the combined effort required to successfully plan, organise and manage remarkable projects and initiatives that promote and enhance leisure time for a number of social, environmental and economic benefits to the community. Football NSW and Northern NSW have delivered the program to thousands of participants since launching in late 2022. Daughters & Dads Football is now a finalist at the National Awards for Excellence in October.

Check out our recently published paper on the impact of the Daughters & Dads Cricket program, now in print. The program led to huge improvements across all key cricket skills, including:
1. 🏏Batting accuracy by 133%
2. 🏏Batting technique by 59%
3. 🙋Bowling accuracy by 138%
4. 🙋Bowling technique 135%

Importantly, the program also led to a boost in girls’:

We are proudly partnering with WestCycle and Healthway and we are very excited to have launched the first ever D&D Cycling program in WA!

Daughters & Dads Cycling debuts in WA this week! 🙌🏻

Daughters & Dads is an evidence-backed program that has been helping boost the self-esteem of girls for nearly a decade in sports like cricket, football and basketball.

Now WestCycle, in conjunction with the The University of Newcastle, Australia and Healthway, is introducing the program to cycling in WA.

“Daughters & Dads is all about creating environments where young girls can participate in sports, get active, develop critical thinking, have fun and gain the self-esteem and independence benefits that flow from that,” says WestCycle Projects Manager, Sarah Nisbet.
