Unsecured dogs are a big issue for our posties – even good dogs can have a bad day. 🐕

🔴 Over 1,000 posties face dog attacks every year, with over 300 needing medical attention.
🔴 More than 55 posties a week fall victim to dog-related incidents, amounting to an alarming 11 incidents per day.

Our latest data shows:
🏘️ 50% of incidents happen on customer property, with 📬 15% at the letterbox.
🛣️ 34% occur on the street, where 👤 8% involve the owner, and 🐕 26% involve a roaming or escaped dog.

Secure your dog during deliveries by:
🚪 Always keep your front gate securely closed, and be careful when opening the door.
🏡 Where possible, secure your dog in the back garden and keep any side gates closed.
📬 If properly securing your dog is not possible, consider using a Parcel Locker or secure mailbox.

We're thrilled to announce that, together with the The Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF), we've delivered 500,000 books to First Nations Communities across Australia! 📚🚚🎉

ILF CEO Ben Bowen shared his thoughts on this achievement: "It's not just a year-by-year relationship. It's something that we're both committed to over a very long period, and it's reaping rewards. 500,000 books in Communities, in kids' hands, in people's homes is just astounding." Together, we can make a difference and continue to bring the joy of reading to every corner of Australia. 📖🤝

We love this amazing mural at Ceduna LPO! 🌅 Painted by the incredibly talented Jaylene Ware, ()a proud Wirangu, Kokatha, and Antakirinja Matu-Yankunytjatjara artist, this artwork has brought so much joy to our community.

Licensee Jo shares, "We have had a group of young Indigenous Australian kids asking if they can have their hands painted and put on our walls so they can be part of the mural. Tourists and customers stop daily to take selfies in front of it. It's just so positive." 📸✨
