NetStrategy recently completed a project at Whitsunday Anglican School, a K-12 school in Mackay, Queensland.

The job consisted of an on-premises file storage migration onto the Microsoft Teams platform, as well as an on/off-site data governance strategy creation and implementation.

Partnering with Mr Max Chambers - Head of Information Technology at the school, NetStrategy conducted discovery sessions and interviews to assess project requirements. Once the solution had been agreed upon, the school disregarded their initial plan to stagger the migration, entrusting NetStrategy to carry the process out within a single day.

The migration process was smooth and seamless, with only positive feedback reported to the school's IT Team. Of the one Terabyte moved, the project received a 99.98% successful file move rate.

Whitsunday Anglican School, a K-12 school in Mackay, Queensland, needed to upgrade its IT systems. With 1100 students and 150 staff, technology is integral to their daily operations.

Mr. Chambers expected the migration to be complex due to their smaller IT team and the widespread impact the migration would have on the school. While some staff used OneDrive, many files were still stored on on-premise servers, posing significant security risks. Varying skill levels with the Teams platform also added to the challenge.
