On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, the DHL Sydney Depot hosted an exclusive tour for Pack & Send franchise partners and staff from New South Wales. A special thank you to DHL, particularly Sophia Taylor and Brenton from the Mascot depot and corporate office for organising the tour for us.

The tour was a game-changer for all attendees, providing invaluable insights and a comprehensive understanding of the entire logistics process. From the meticulous handling of each package to the streamlined operations, DHL's commitment to excellence was on full display.

We were recently called to pick up some rather large and interesting items for a client here at PACK & SEND Australia Lonsdale! The call came in to rescue 12 carousel horses and a cupid from a nearby salvage yard and have them packaged and shipped to the client Strut & Fret in Brisbane!

It took two trips in our van to collect them, and almost 2 days to pack them.
5 mounted on poles, needed a custom frame with horizontal beams to support, then mounted into a giant custom box on an oversized custom pallet.

It's a good thing giant custom boxes are our speciality! 7 of the other 8 horses were mounted on swinging bars, and one was free-standing. They all made it into another giant custom box with the Cupid statue on another oversized custom pallet.

A very interesting job, and being fragile we were happy to hear that they arrived safe and sound at the other end.

On Tuesday 4 June, DHL Tullamarine Depot hosted a group of PACK & SEND Franchise Partners and staff from VIC for a tour of the DHL facility. The experience was enlightening and inspiring, providing a comprehensive insight into the operations that keep the global logistics network running smoothly.

A huge thank you to DHL and in particular, Julian Cutajar from the Tullamarine depot for his hospitality and willingness to share his expertise.
