It always great to make a piece for friends and this person has known me a very long time.
When she came in with her husband she sent me a picture of the kind of look she would like using some of their own stones bought while working for a mining company and getting me to add some more.
What she did not know until she saw it was that her husband had come back and asked me to add another diamond !
So the result was this unique 18k yellow gold ,white champagne and chocolate diamond set in white gold bezels ring.
I’m glad say she was very happy.

This time of year we are all running round looking for something nice for the important people in our lives. While it’s leaving it late to make something before Xmas , we have some beautiful pieces still in stock including rings bangles and chain.

Trying something new today, going through my stock and I found a chain I would love to find a new home for !!!
It is solid 9k yellow gold, 3/1 Figaro style chain, 45cm long, just over 23 grams in weight. I will sell this for $1750 , that is way under the value of this item. Contact me if interested.

My apologies for not posting lately but I've had one of those periods where "things" keep happening.
Basically my work computer main hard drive which had many photos of my work died.
Then the usb stick that had a lot those photos on it that was used in the digital picture frame at work ..... died.
Then to top it of my gaming laptop at home also decided to join the procession and lemming'd to its demise.
So yes THAT'S BEEN AWESOME ! but on the scale of things just a bloody nuisance.
I will start posting pictures and stories soon.

"I've got this ring and I don't really like the sides, do I have to remake the whole ring ?"
The original shank (or band) of the ring was very fine and not too strong, so the customer wanted something with a bit more show but still having it be her ring.
So I came up with a more generous width band for the back of the finger and with a V shape shoulder pavee set with diamonds, while keeping the original centre setting.
I got the best reaction from her when they came to pick it up - "Its my ring but better!" and for me that said mission accomplished.
Yes we can do the big production pieces but sometimes its more about good old fashion advice and service.

As many jobs begin, this job started with a rough picture, refined down to a design that this client had been waiting to have made for her.
These handmade ear rings are Broome Pearls and a claw set band of white diamonds made with 18k white gold.
We sourced all the stones within days to balance design/cost to meet the brief.
No need to worry my customer kindly gave consent to let me use her as my ear model.
Yes she laughed at me but I thought I had better ask !!

A picture is worth a thousand words !!
So a customer asks "Can you put a symbol on a ring for me ?"
"Sure" I say, "What would you like ........ do you have a picture?"
Thankfully they did, I made a few slight style changes to fit the top neatly, as its for a mens ring and used a textured finish to help symbol stand out, and this was the result.
The fleur de lis was hand cut from a piece of metal plate.
The ring is yellow gold with a matte texture background and polished white gold fleur de lis.
The customer was very happy.

This ring was handmade from the customers idea for the top with some refinement from us and our input for the side detail.
I'm very proud to say this ring is one piece of several I have made for this couple including the first item I made in this workshop approx. 15 years ago.
It is made from 18k yellow and white gold, set with a created emerald and diamonds.
Got a "crazy" idea, its a great place to start.
Making and Repairing jewellery is our passion.

They change with season and events, winter last year it was multi coloured umbrellas.
Adds a bit of colour in WInter.

This piece was made from using the customers wedding ring which she loved and a pear shape sapphaire she had been given.
The princess diamond set wedder was kept intact, then by using a double bezel setting it kept the ring practical with nothing to catch on clothes (or babies) while making the sapphaire the focal point.
I was really happy with this result and great balance of new and old.

I felt incredibly lucky when an old friend who I have known long enough to have coached him as a kid came in with his partner and the brief to make his partner a wedding ring.
This family have trusted me to make several pieces for them but this one was .... different.
As my friend lives overseas, his partner was told he had to wait for his ring as I had to make it ...... when they visited Australia, no pressure !!!
Thankfully I designed a ring he loved, that used a family diamond with a two tone (18k/9k) White gold matte finished wedder with a polished white gold bezel.
