I am very excited to share that I have completed my training as a SIBO Food Roadmap Practitioner. Now certified to use this amazing resource in clinic to better serve my clients with chronic digestive disturbances. Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) is when conditions have occured (eg poor diet, gastro) that allow the bacteria to overgrow and their fermentation produces specific gases. These gases are tested by breath measuring hydrogen and methane. By using the SIBO Breath Test and a Gut Microbiome Test, a deeper understanding of digestive disturbances can be made. This new resource is truly amazing, a complete step by step 6 phase nutrition guide including recipes designed to accompany practitioner prescribed nutrients for the balance of gut microbiome and better gut health outcomes.

Overeating is so easy to do. We feast with our eyes, and pile more on our plate than necessary. As a child we may have been told we need to eat everything on it before being excused from the table. Today you may find you finish the left overs on the kids plates or lunch boxes, so it doesn't go to waste. You are not a bin either!
Use nature's gifts to help manage blood sugars. Tip: Regular balanced nutrition is key.

Many, many, many of my clients come to me with fatigue and poor sleep. One of the main reasons are they are not getting enough good protein throughout the day, starting with breakfast. In fact, most do not have breakfast at all. 🥹 Here are some ideas to kick start your protein breakfast options.

Do you have dry skin? All of our cells are made from two layers of lipids. These are chemical compounds that appear waxy or or fatty. When you eat good fats your skin is shiny and soft.

Being overweight is more that just holding onto excess kilos.
Keeping our blood sugar within in a healthy range is critical to good health. Devouring a lot of sugar over many years creates the inability of your body to regulate the intake any more. Sugars can be obvious - soft drink, cake, biscuits, or hidden in packaged dried foods and premade meals so check all labels.

Not only does colour make your plate more visually appealing, these colours are powerful antioxidants in particular sour cherry, red cabbage, cranberry bean, black grape, berries including blueberry, red currant being being very high.
I don't know about being able to tell what you are, but it is quite common to see a person nutrition reflect in their wellness or lack of. Which is why I absolutely adore and love Metabolic Balance and recommend this to all my private clients. No matter how many supplements you take, it can't out do your daily intake of vegetables, proteins and healthy fats.
Your daily fibre content need not be boring.
Avocado is a fruit, not a vegetable, but combines deliciously in salads and smoothies having benefits of healthy fats.
Not all protein needs to come from the obvious meat and chicken.

Do you believe in fairy godmothers?
A long time ago, about 15 years, while studying Natural Medicine, I began a real healing journey of my own. I would have loved a Fairy Godmother then, which is probably why I am so committed to helping you now.
One day I woke with a massively swollen knee. As there was no movement in the leg, I needed a cane to walk and it took a year to rehabilitate. I was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis, with an alarming prognosis of crippled hands, feet and wheelchair confinement unless I took immune suppressants drugs. Ugh, not happy, and not compliant to those drugs.
I suffered as each knee took it’s turn over the years and each time I conquered them without the drugs. Until the last time, when both knees went together. Excruciating pain, fear and depression for months I endured. Succumbing to only 6 months of Methotrexate, I got myself out of the hell and well with diet and determination.
Now, reaching mid-life myself, I can see so clearly that it is so much more important that you look after yourselves, your mind, your body, your life. You have worked, raised a family, have been through good-times and maybe major stress or illness. The time now has never been so perfect to take your life in your hands and start to feel incredibly well.
