Meet Amber and Amy. 👋 Our 2023 ambassadors.
23-year-old Amber, a Noongar woman, has achieved a Certificate III in Government and Certificates I and II in Business. Amber is a Senior Heritage Officer with the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage.
21-year-old Amy lives in Kalgoorlie and is studying environmental science. Amy works as Geology Technician at Northern Star Resources Limited.

Today marks the start of a week-long celebration that recognises the contributions young people make across our State.
Until 16 April, you can participate in a number of virtual activities as part of the annual KickstART Festival.
This year’s theme is Courage to Change – Booraka Korangan-ak, which seeks to empower young people to form their own opinions, shape decision-making and enact change.

54 community organisations and local governments have been awarded grants to support youth-focused initiatives as part of Youth Week WA 2022.
From Augusta to Broome, this funding will activate communities to embrace and celebrate youth perspectives and contributions.

Meet Amber…
Amber Ugle-Hayward is a 22-year-old Noongar woman and one of this year’s Youth Week WA Ambassadors.
A graduate of the Western Australian Aboriginal Leadership Institute, Amber is keen to be a good role model for her peers.

Meet Amy…
Amy Astill hails from Kalgoorlie and is one of this year’s Youth Week WA Ambassadors.
With a deep passion for youth issues, she is a mentor for young people through the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Youth Council and the Salvation Army Project.
Amy is also a member of the 2022 Ministerial Youth Advisory Council (MYAC).

City of Stirling are hosting Booka fest as apart of Youth Week on Thursday 3-7:30PM! get involved.

Every year we assemble a group of 20 young people aged 14 -24 to be the youth voice of our festival – previously known as The KickstART Festival.
As members of the 2018 WA Youth Week Planning Committee you will play a key role in the planning and decision-making for WA Youth Week, including KickstART Market Day.
WA Youth Week 2018 will run for ten days from 13 -22 April and is the largest celebration of young people on the Western Australian youth calendar.
All you need to do is commit to a few monthly meetings and be willing to share ideas for what a festival celebrating youth looks like to you!
Presented by Propel Youth Arts WA in partnership with the Department of Communities, WA Youth Week is a developing annual celebration of young people that delivers free arts workshops, discussion forums, markets, performances, live music, special events and activities, throughout the Perth Cultural Centre each April.

On Saturday 8 April, over 7,000 people converged on the Perth Cultural Centre for KickstART Festival Day, a celebration of National Youth Week presented by Propel Youth Arts WA in partnership with the Department of Local Government and Communities.

This Sunday, Edmund Rice Centre WA will be hosting a Community Sports Festival on the 9th of April 12-4:30pm, to celebrate National Youth Week.
This event aims to give children and young people from all walks of life an opportunity to get active by participating in different sporting activities in a one day come and try event.
