Aquinians in Oxford unite🇬🇧
After Sam Yeow (Class of 2023) was accepted to study Mathematics and Philosophy at Christ Church, Oxford, James Leigh (Class of 2016) reached out to Mr Van Dyk, Head of Senior School, to offer a friendly face and Old Aquinian connection overseas for Sam
Bonding over their love for philosophers like Socrates, St. Thomas Aquinas, and Marcus Aurelius, it was realised that James is both a Clarendon and Rhodes Scholar (Australia-at-Large, 2023). James Leigh is currently at Oxford, researching asynchronous telehealth and AI in healthcare through an MSc in Applied Digital Health
The shared College journey of Sam and James has naturally connected them, and we look forward to following their promising academic pursuits. A heartwarming story of true Aquinian spirit🤝

130 Years of Faith, Character, and Excellence✨
This evening, as we gather for our Foundation Ball to mark this extraordinary milestone, we have the unique opportunity to reflect on the incredible history that has shaped Aquinas College
For 130 years, Aquinas has been a beacon of growth and development, whilst remaining strongly connected to its past
As we look back on the rich tapestry of our history, we celebrate the achievements and transformations that have defined our community. It is through the collective efforts and shared values of countless individuals over the decades that we have built this vibrant community
Tonight, we honour not only our past but also the promising future that lies ahead, guided by the enduring principles that have always been at the heart of Aquinas College
Are you an Old Boy who enjoys a few rounds of golf?🏌️♂️
We're looking for Old Aquinians to represent Aquinas in our annual PSA Old Boys' Golf Day at Cottesloe. We're a little behind on registrations and want to take part in a great day again this year.
Register via email: [email protected]
Happy Principals' Day👨🏫
Today, we take the time to recognise our very hard working and dedicated Principal, Mr. Henderson
From attending Aquinas himself, to becoming Aquinas' first Old Boy Principal; we are very glad Mr. Henderson returned as our students' role model, embodying what it means to be a true Aquinian. Thank you, Mr. Henderson
Join us for the final home game for our Year 12s 🔴⚫
Next Saturday we celebrate our Year 12s' last home game with a big day of sport in our infamous Red Haze Day against Scotch. Show your support for Aquinas College by showing up, wearing red, and cheering on our players. Stay tuned for more details
After nearly a decade at Aquinas, we say farewell to Nick Collins, our dedicated staff member and Director of Rowing
We are deeply grateful for Nick's years of service to the College and wish him all the best in his future endeavors
Last night, we had the pleasure of welcoming back our Class of 2023 for an evening of reconnecting, reminiscing over highlights from our 2023 Annual, and building further connections.
We were also honoured to announce the class's remarkable effort in raising funds for the Peer Bursary Gift, which will provide another student with the opportunity for a life-changing Aquinas College education. Together, the Class of 2023 raised $6,496! A special mention goes to Jack Sheppard, who raised an impressive $2,444 by baking cookies for Crown Perth, showcasing true Aquinian generosity.
We wish the Class of 2023 a happy and prosperous future in their chosen endeavours and warmly welcome them to the Old Aquinians' Association.

It's myFUTURE Friday! While our current students are enjoying their break, we reached out to Ben Clarke, Class of 2023, to share his experiences and insights as an apprentice engineer since graduating
Ben provided valuable advice for students considering a career in the industry, through our industryPATH program, including tips on the application process, interview strategies, and more
"I did some research because from what I know, interviewers will ask you if you have any questions for them, and I think it’s always good to have a question, but not just a general, vague question."
Read his interview over on our website https://www.aquinas.wa.edu.au/news/class-of-2023-catch-up
OAA Olympians past and present come together🇦🇺
Yesterday we proudly witnessed Old Aquinian Aran Zalewski, Class of 2008, being drafted as Captain of the Kookaburras who will be heading to the Paris Olympics, on Aquinas grounds. Other alumni, including Don Martin from the Class of 1957, who previously represented Australia in the Olympic Hockey Team in Tokyo 1964 and Mexico City 1968, gathered to show their support.
Aquinas College had the honour of hosting the Kookaburra and Hockeyroos Paris Olympic squad announcement press conference on our picturesque campus. We extend our best wishes to both the Kookaburras and Hockeyroos as they prepare to compete in Paris.

Following our recent call for donations, Br Clery's mission to collect cricket bats for Narrikup Cricket Club's renowned 'cricket bat fence' has been a resounding success🏏
Thanks to the generosity of Aquinas' community and beyond, we've collected a staggering total of 60 bats! Br Clery is now making arrangements to transport this impressive collection all the way to Narrikup, where they will proudly be displayed on behalf of Aquinas College.
A big thank you to everyone who contributed to this fantastic initiative!
We look forward to following Samuel Yeow’s journey! The future is bright for you, Sam
This is Samuel Yeow, the Member for South Perth in the 2024 Youth Parliament. Sam finished year 12 last year at Aquinas College and is off to Oxford (!!!) later this year to study maths and philosophy.
We had a good chat about helping small businesses thrive, law and ChatGPT. Good luck with Youth Parliament and your future studies, Sam!
