Another community minded business assisting Cockburn Rotary. This time, Lou from Bunnings, arranging some fantastic native plant seedlings for the Cockburn Rotarians to present to new citizens at the City of Cockburn Citizenship Ceremony.

The Cockburn Rotary Club presented a native plant to welcome all the new Australian citizens from 27 different countries at the City of Cockburn citizenship ceremony tonight. Welcome to our community.

Jade Lewis visited our club again for an update on the continued work she is doing in supporting and teaching teens, women and prisoners with social issues. Jade continues to talk about VA**NG, CONSENT, DIGITAL AWARENESS, RESILIENCE, DRUGS/ALCOHOL. She is thankful for the support she has received from Rotary. What an amazing lady with an awesome story and fascinating life journey.

We finally got to present Abbi our Ryla participant with her certificate on Wednesday and hear about her experience. Abbi works FIFO so we have been juggling dates. It was lovely to catch up again and chat about the changes she has made since attending this great program. Thanks Abbi.

With the end of the 2023-2024 Rotary year, the Cockburn Rotary Club celebrated the year that was and prepared for the new year ahead. We continue to grow and support the community. Thank you to the Board and members who made my year a memorable one. Peter Hodgson was welcomed as the incoming President. New member
Alison Reddyhough was inducted into the club and a
Paul Harris Fellow pin was presented to Michele Hodgson for her contribution to the club. We are confident that together we will continue to spread the work of Rotary and support our local community.

Peter McKenzie gave an informative talk on Rotarians against Malaria on Wednesday night at a combined Fremantle and Cockburn Rotary Clubs. Rotary working to eliminate a serious disease. We also held a raffle and raised funds to support our programs.
