C&S is moving! After 8 years living in the beautiful Perth Hills, my hubby & I have decided to take the plunge and move North with our little family for a couple of years.

This means that C&S will no longer be operational in Perth.

Thank you everyone who has supported me over the last 6 years. It’s meant the absolute world to me. ❤️

Who knows what the next couple of years will bring, but I very much hope to see you all on my return to Perth 🥰

LONG POST ALERT!

So many of you have messaged me regarding my new biz , asking if I’m going to continue on with C&S.

The short answer is yes. I’m not giving up caking completely, and I’m keeping my kitchen registered and my books open (for now). I will keep doing large corpirate orders, but won’t be taking on retail orders for the moment.
I have owned and run C&S by myself for 6 years.

6 years of bloody hard work, so many highs, a few tears and more love for my job than you can imagine- producing up to 1000 cupcakes from my registered kitchen some weekends with markets, huge orders and my personal fav: The Treat Box.

However, since having a family, the demands of raising a young family have made it extremely difficult to be consistent in my biz.
What many people don’t realise, is that producing just one cake takes hours over several days. Ordering ingredients, boxes, invoicing, going back and forth with the client, making the cake, decorating it and then delivering it.

So for now, I’m hanging up the apron (in a retail sense!) While I concentrate on my new biz.
Working in beauty therapy for the last 12/18 months has reignited my love for the industry, and I’ll be focusing purely on spray tanning one day a week from the studio of .

This will enable me to still work with some wonderful people, but it will also give me the much wanted time with my two beautiful boys and my family.

I can honestly say that to date C&S has been one of my proudest achievements, and the change is not because I feel ‘forced’ to stop, but is rather due to a change of my current priorities and is my own decision.

I’ve met the most incredible people on this journey. I’ve made the most wonderful, loyal friends that I know will be with me no matter what the seasons bring.

I’ve learned that life is far too short not to follow your dreams, and I will never stop supporting others in their small biz journey.
To every single one of you who has supported me and believed in me, you will have my love and gratitude forever 🙏🏻

I’m going to turn this page into a little ‘blog’ full of recipes, and my baking for fun (because let’s face it- I’ll never stop baking completely!) So please keep following me and keeping in touch with me.

So today... THIS HAPPENED 😍🙈🙏🏻 I’m literally beyond excited!

A fudgey chocolate cake mixture, covered in a double layer of white chocolate and SPRINKLES 🙏🏻❤️

Along with the rest of the world, I’ve been using this time ‘off’ to bake some new, fun recipes with the fam!

One of the things I’m really enjoying about this business, is that I’m back to baking purely for love & fun.

I’ve been baking for neighbours, friends & family, and drove around and left care packages at the door as a surprise for some people I love last week!

These are going out as a little surprise tomorrow ❤️

But a serious post. I hope you’re all staying safe (and home!)

I’ve notice a HUGE number of people on fb selling food for over Easter (and in general). I know that so many people are trying to make a few extra $ at the moment- which I understand.

However- this is NOT the time to by buying from an unregistered food business.

The difference is that my shires health department has contacted me allowing me to continue operating (albeit with constantly updated info on safely operating during COVID-19).
My kitchen and home is regularly inspected and approved in person- deeming my health and hygiene practices being up to scratch so that I can SAFELY provide my customers with orders and treats.

PLEASE- if you’re not sure- ask to see a copy of a registration certificate from the food business you’re supporting.

It’s never been more important to be practicing safe food preparation for the people who are supporting our businesses 👏🏻

My last order for a short while while I go on maternity leave.
This was for a bride who had to cancel her wedding, and chose to get married last minute in her parents backyard.
I was so glad to be able to reorganise her order.
The stories of these beautiful couples forging ahead in whatever way they can warms my heart so much.
No matter what happens, love will always find a way ❤️
I’d like to add- this order was such a team effort. My beautiful friend Dayle from Mundaring Florist organises the flowers with zero notice for me- giving me flowers she was saving for something else (as flowers are in shorter supply)
The beautiful Jaimie from The cake garden got me a cake board as I didn’t have time to get one.
This is such a wonderful example of a community helping each other out for a common purpose- my community is bloody awesome!

Here’s a little ‘bump date’ from me at C&S.

I’m 34 weeks and I’m heading into the last of my orders this week after a CRAZY week with this Covid-19.

All customers have been contacted and for those who have had to postpone and cancel weddings and other special events- I’m sorry. I can imagine how disappointed you must be.

All of my customers were offered a credit or a refund. I feel like creating the least amount of stress in this current environment is very important 🙏🏻

As for the cupcake I’m baking- I’m almost on maternity leave, and I’m looking forward to spending some quality time with Leo, my hubby and my family before this one arrives.

I’ll keep posting during my leave- perhaps some new recipes and tutorials to share with you all 🥰

This is just before a dinner out with my girlfriends last night❤️🙏🏻
What I want to talk about though... is YOU!
Many of you know that once a week I work for the fabulous Denise at ❤️ I’ve been there a whole year, and I LOVE my job there just as much as I love C&S.
not only do I adore Denise and the work itself, but I LOVE working with our clients- who happen to be mostly women.
I love working in a job where I can encourage them to love themselves and see their self worth.
We do all aspects of waxing, tanning, tinting, makeup and henna, and I must say, I’ve had so many women voice their dissatisfaction about their bodies to me.
BUT what I want all of you to know... at the end of a treatment, I can tell you... your name, possibly your occupation, your kids names, things you love and hate. I notice that you seem like a super mum, a compassionate and loving daughter, sister and friend. An AMAZING client. I can tell you’re a beautiful soul who adds brightness to our day by visiting.
What I couldn’t tell you I’d what you looked like naked, how many stretch marks you may or may not have, your weight or thereabouts. Because these details don’t matter. ALL of you are beautiful and wonderful women. Full stop.
Sure we LOVE having you in, because it makes you feel good about YOU, but PLEASE don’t apologise to us for what you believe are your imperfections. We think you’re pretty bloody awesome just the way you are! ❤️
