After a first half goal from K. YAMAMOTO, a mistake at the back sees the Lions equalise from a spot-kick, heading into the break at 1-1.

A red card in the 73rd minute opens the door for Stirling Macedonia to take the lead in the 75th minute after a quick counter-attack.

A quick counter-attack of our own from B. NSEGETSE sees the ball stolen from the keepers feet after a failed clearance and hitting the back of the net in the 77th minute.

Edge of your seat stuff.

Yesterday was pretty special.

Multiple generations of Inglewood United Football Club players, supporters, volunteers and staff gathered in our humble Clubhouse for our Heritage Day match against Perth SC.

People like Vlado, (pictured) who played for the Club in 1957 enjoyed a walks down memory lane with a few cold ones... Those go down pretty well, especially when we win!

Full Time saw us walk out 4-1 victors with 3 goals in 6 minutes in the last stages of the first half and a stoppage time strike sealing the deal in front of the Clubhouse.

NPL-WA ROUND FOURTEEN – PREVIEW

It’s been a difficult NPLWA-Men’s season for both Inglewood United Football Club and Perth SC, United sitting bottom of the table with just four points, and the Azzurri in eighth on 12, so three points will be vital when the pair meet in our week 14 ‘Match of the Round’ at the Inglewood Stadium on Saturday afternoon. (All games kick off a 3pm) Inglewood have picked up in their last two games under new coach Alex Stanojevic, their first win against Glory in round 12, before a hard-fought draw at the Knights last week.

Kenny Lowe’s side have won only one in their last three games, against the Knights in round 12, and they are coming off a loss at Stirling last week. It’s a big day for the clubs, as the match will be the Heritage Cup, and they are inviting all former players from each club to the game, so it should be a great turn out for this one.

With a decade of dedication to our club, Alex brings a wealth of experience and a passion for developing young talent. His leadership promises to ignite our team's performance as we strive to climb up the table.

Alex has been instrumental in nurturing our youth players, including leading our Under 20s Team, and his track record speaks for itself. We're excited to see his vision unfold on the field as we continue to build momentum towards an exciting finish to the season!

"Our first win of the season and the Club and I are very proud of this team.

Three weeks ago, we embarked on a reset, consulting with the team to get buy-in on a new vision and philosophy that are aligned with the Club's values and goals.

We used the games against Fremantle and Red Star to establish a line in the sand guiding our training sessions, culminating with the win on the weekend.

There is a big wall to climb, but we are focused on the great escape and taking one game at a time."

🟡🔵INGLEWOOD UNITED CLUB STATEMENT: TAKI NICOLAIDIS🔵🟡

Inglewood United Football Club confirms today it has parted company with First Team Head Coach Taki Nicolaidis.

This has been a very difficult decision, and not one that the Executive Committee has taken lightly. However after lengthy consideration it was decided a change is needed to give the Club the opportunity to improve performances and results for the remainder of this season.

The Executive Committee would like to put on record its sincere thanks to Taki for the hard work, honesty and integrity he brought to the role, particularly during a challenging time for the club, on and off the field. Taki is someone who is held in high regard in WA football and by this Club, and we wish him nothing but success for the future. He will always be welcome at the Club.

Alex Stanojevic has agreed to step in as Acting Head Coach to allow the executive time to assess options.

We have 13 NPLWA games remaining for the season. Everyone at the Club has to now step up to ensure the highest possible finish in the table.

Not a great day out for any of the squads.
No goals.
No points.
