🎻 Together with our talented strings students, Holly will take us on a musical journey through masterpieces by Bach, bringing to life our rarely played, beautiful Nottingham 1905 WRAGG Pipe Organ.

The Penrhos community is deeply saddened by the passing of Grace Hortin (Class of 2023). Please join us in remembering Grace.

🏐 🤩 Sending a huge shoutout to Alexia Zammit (Class of 2022), fresh from her tour in the Philippines with the Australian Volleyball Team, for coming in and running an amazing specialist session with our girls. 🤩

Thank you also to Jen Parker (Class of 2023) for coming in for our Year 7/8 WA Volleyball Schools Cup trials, and who will be touring with our Year 9 team later this year! 🏐🥰

Jen and Alexia were both part of the silver medal-winning Open Honours team from the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup 2022 and 2023. 🥈

🍰 Last week, our Penrhosian Club enjoyed a lovely morning tea for their June catch-up – made all the more lovely because of the students who joined them. 💘 They enjoyed a presentation from students who recently travelled to the USA for Space Camp, as well as special musical and speech performances from our Junior School students. 🪐👩‍🚀🎼🎹

The Penrhos community is deeply saddened by the passing of our former dedicated teacher of English Literature, Helen Knott.

Our thoughts and prayers are with daughter Lara (Class of 1988), granddaughters Sophia (Class of 2012), Helena (Class of 2019), and all of Helen’s family and friends at this very sad time.

Helen taught at Penrhos from 1979 – 1995.

Our College Archivist, Merilyn Orchard, recently visited our Year 3 class to teach them about the history of Penrhos College! 📸 🎞️

The girls were fascinated by MLC South Perth (now Penrhos College) and the relocation of our school to what was once a pine plantation! 🌲 Our year 3s also had the opportunity to see the old Penrhos uniforms and imagine themselves as a student back in the 50s and 60s. 📻

We recently inducted our latest Honorary Alumni at a special morning tea to recognise their long-standing contribution to the Penrhos community. Inductees included Judith Pilatti, Barbara von Bronswijk, Val Mayger, Julie Shaw, Laurie Packham and Jan Phillips (seen here with our beloved Meg Melville). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you to these incredible women for their unwavering dedication, tireless efforts and the profound and lasting impact they have made on our community. We think you’re wonderful! 🫶

🌟 Exciting Alumni Week at Penrhos! 🌟

This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming back three incredible Penrhos alumni who shared their diverse career paths and wisdom with our Year 10 students. It was an inspiring opportunity for all!

On Wednesday, Roxanna Pike (Class of 2002) & Fritha Gibbons (Class of 1990) joined us for a dynamic panel discussion about their multifaceted career journeys. They've both navigated through various sectors, showcasing the power and flexibility of a portfolio career. Their stories are a testament to adapting to market demands and following one’s passions across multiple disciplines.

And on Thursday, Claire Fortune (Class of 1997), a talented naturopath, started with an insightful introduction about her career journey followed by an engaging goal-setting workshop. Her session provided practical tips and motivated our students to think strategically about their future goals.

A big thank you to our alumni for returning to Penrhos and giving back to our community with such impactful sessions! 🙌💙
