Maya is 15 years old and has been studying full-time Western Australia since she was 11. She has been very lucky to continue her schooling with distance education. Maya has had some amazing experiences already, with intensives with Bolshoi Ballet in Perth and travelling to the UK for Elmhurst Ballet Academy summer intensive in 2023. Having the opportunity to train with different teachers and making friends from around the world has been the biggest highlight for Maya so far. She has also had the privilege of acceptance into West Australian Ballet masterclass program over the last three years.

Maya’s determination has been tested, like most dancers, with Covid lockdowns and training via zoom in the garage, and an injury that tested her motivation and dreams. Her willpower to dance and the support of her teachers and parents lead her to excellent results passing her Advanced 1 exam with Honours.

Maya hopes to continue her ballet journey into pre-professional training and beyond. She is so grateful for the opportunity to travel to America with the Australian Team to compete in such a prestigious event.

Team Australia have landed over in Holland, Michigan and are getting ready to compete in the Cecchetti International Ballet Competition.

Ella is an aspiring ballet dancer, currently studying in full-time Western Australia. Ella trains in classical ballet, contemporary and character dance.

Ella has attended and participated at YAGP competition in Sydney, Australia where she was called back into scholarship class and got awarded short term scholarship at Alberta Ballet School. She also successfully auditioned for the contemporary youth company, Testing Ground, and is a current member, preparing for their second production of the year. In addition, Ella successfully auditioned for a place at workshop and masterclasses held by Luca Masala, Director of Académie of Princess Grace, Monaco.

In 2023, Ella passed her Advanced 1 Cecchetti ballet exams with honours.

Last night Miss Simone and full timers Ella & Maya set off for America and the Cecchetti International Ballet Competition. Ella & Maya have been selected to represent Australia in the competition, and Miss Simone is Team Australia’s Captain.

They’ll be taking over our socials while away so make sure to stay up to date on their progress.

Monty flies out tonight - he’s heading to the UK, in particular, English National Ballet School. He’ll be taking part in their prestigious Summer Intensive which is a huge honour.

A big CONGRATULATIONS to our two contemporary ensembles who performed yesterday at Born To Perform competition. It was so lovely seeing you all take to the stage again doing what you love.

Our senior ensemble was awarded an Honourable Mention, and our junior ensemble received FIRST PLACE! The adjudicator was so impressed with our students technique and piece - amazing!!!!

We loved having our Malaysian friends come to visit last year to get a taste of our Professional Training Program - hoping to see you all back soon.
