Saturday evening we held our first round of the 2024 championship on the evening of day 1 Matsuri and all of the drivers turned it up!! Incredible smoke show and close battles made for an exciting event under lights at Collie Motorplex! Congratulations to our podium finishers and to all of our competitors 🙌

These were a game changer for our championship last year. Not only giving our drivers consistent start signals but also has lights on the backside to allow our judges to see to ensure no lead cars are playing silly buggers!

We are slowly trying to implement what we can to make our events not only bigger but more friendly to our judges. Things don't happen overnight, but we are all trying to take necessary steps in the right direction.

Bumper Policy:

*All cars must have front and rear bumpers attached for qualifying.

*FD rear chop is allowed.

*Cars without bumpers in qualifying will receive point deduction.

*Exception: If a bumper is destroyed beyond re-use during practice.

*Pre-1985 cars may be exempt due to bumper availability.

With our next event coming up THIS SUNDAY at Carco raceway we thought it was a good time to drop in a couple of reminders to all of our loyal members, followers & drift fans!

Event Page: D1WA Drift Practice

1) Please do not cross the main track to come into the infield outside of our confirmed track crossing times - See Pre Event Email for the information about these timeslots. If you have not enterred the event online - you do not need to cross the main circuit any way other than via the foot bridge. We have a zero tolerance policy for vehicles crossing track without being directed to do so.

2) We do not accept on the day entries without prior special arrangement - Please ensure you have enterred via the website - Once the ËNTER NOW button disappears - entries are closed.

3) We will not be running any livestream for this event - Don't be fooled by online scammers.

4) Spectators - the only way to purchase spectator tickets is at the event in person. Don't be fooled by online scammers!

5) All drivers - please ensure that all trailers & Support vehicles are out of pit lane & parked in the approved areas - specifically not further north than the end of the main straight concrete wall. Failure to do so will result in you being asked to walk back to your vehicle and re-locate it in the correct area. See images below illustrating the approved parking locations.
