Growing and eating fresh fruit and vegetables is recommended but what about pesticides and chemical residue?

Here is a fantastic guide, if you have ever wondered which fruit and veggies have been sprayed with the most chemicals. We would suggest trying to grow your own or searching for the freshest organic varieties 🙂

Make A Bee Waterer And Help Hydrate Our Pollinators 20/07/2016

Great idea

Make A Bee Waterer And Help Hydrate Our Pollinators Imagine how hard just one bee works in a single day. Bees tend to at least 2,000 flowers daily, with tiny wings beating 10,000 times per minute, carrying pollen, and dramatically assisting our food supply. Sound exhausting? Bees get thirsty, and they need safe water sources. The problem is water...M...

Aussie naturally grown garlic all the way

Our garlic industry is rallying after cheap imports in the 1990s caused a rapid decline in local production. There are a number of good reasons to BUY AUSSIE GARLIC, no reasons not to!

Note: we do have some white Australian varieties of garlic that are naturally white and very good, the point is, don't buy the imported Chinese and Mexican stuff.

This is what your grocery store looks like without bees 04/07/2015

Scary

This is what your grocery store looks like without bees One of every three bites of food comes from plants pollinated by honeybees and other pollinators. Yet, major declines in bee populations threaten the availability of many fresh ingredients consumers rely on for their dinner tables.

Have you been ripped off by not-so free range eggs? Join our campaign calling for real free range: choice.good.do/freerange before Ministers meet tomorrow!

Our latest report has revealed that many free range egg products fail to meet the national model code of practice (1,500 hens per hectare). Of the 55 products we looked at, we could only find stocking densities for 35, and only 15* of those comply with the model code. Read more: https://goo.gl/887H5b

State, Territory and Federal Ministers are meeting tomorrow to decide whether to progress a national free range egg standard. If you want a genuine, enforceable meaning for 'free range' write to the Ministers today! choice.good.do/freerange

Do you buy any of the products listed? Are you surprised to learn many of the big brands fail to meet the model code of practice?

*Southern Highland Organics Free Range Eggs stocking density is actually 800 hens per hectare (less than the model code), not 2,500 as listed in our graphic.
