Kurwongbah competed in the World Robotics RoboRave Tournament on the weekend at the University of the Sunshine Coast. 4000 entrants attended the event from all around the world from China, Taiwan, Canada, India, Mexico, Egypt and Poland to name a few. One Kurwongbah team competed in the A-maze-ing competition on Saturday where students programmed their robot to complete the maze course in the quickest time possible
and, five teams took part on Sunday battling in the Sumo Challenge. Students had worked hard for several months to build and design their program and robot in the lead up to the event and, although none reached the finals, a lot was learnt about design and programming.
Congratulations on such a great effort Kurwongbah teams and a special thank you to parents for your support and time at the event!
