Good morning everyone! 🌞
If you haven't noticed, I've been on a bit of a break but I'm back and ready to roll out a few changes along with it! We now have a ✨NEW & IMPROVED✨ Brand Kit, including a pretty new logo to go with it! 🐝

Now, since it's been a while, I thought I'd reintroduce myself...

Our Charity's NEW Focus Mission is on providing support to families where the parent/s or guardian/s are suffering a crisis, through either terminal or incurable illness, as well as severe pro-longed injuries. We also provide some supports to parent/s of Special Needs children. All other severe need requests are on a case by case request.

Our Charity stands as a beacon of honesty, transparency, and non-judgmental care. We are dedicated to the well-being of our community, nurturing hearts and spreading hope.

Just as many drops of water combine to fill a bucket, regardless of their size, we believe that all contributions, large or small, unite to pour out the fires of adversity and support the needs of others.

It’s volunteer week & we’d like to say THANK YOU to all of the fabulous volunteers who donate their time in the Hastings Community.

At HCAS we offer Disability & Mental Health support services & over the last few years we’ve connected some of our clients to the below 5 organisations & observed their volunteers bring a smile to the faces of so many deserving people.

1: Port Macquarie Sailability
* Volunteers regularly assist one of the NDIS participants that we support to enjoy time on the water sailing each week

2. Port Macquarie Neighbourhood Centre
*Volunteers have assisted several of the NDIS participants we support over the years to participate in events at the centre & with providing much needed food assistance too

3. St Thomas Soup Kitchen – (& Blue Sky Laundry)
*Volunteers have provided regular groceries, lunches & laundry services & smiles to several of the NDIS participants that we’ve supported

4. The Hope Shop – Port Macquarie
*Volunteers have provided an emergency voucher to several of the participants that we've been supporting

5. Our local help Inc. (previously Port Macquarie- Hastings Community Help Inc.)
*Cath & the team have provided care packages for several of the people we’ve supported during hardship

I would like to give a big thanks to Tyler Moscardo of Restoration Cleaning for his assistance to our Charity this week. If you are in need of cleaning, Team Resto offers various services, including specialised cleaning also. Please support local and those with a heart for our community.

For those who are unaware, our group is currently paused for 48hrs, in memory and respect of one of our dear members and beautiful friend, Cheryln and her two young amazing children, who were her absolute world.

It's now Cheryln's time to rest and go and be with her God, Jesus, as she told me. You are going to be so very missed.

To precious Hollie and Jack, we are here for you both for absolutely anything, not just now but in the future also. You are both incredible young people and you made YOUR MOM the proudest Mum ever.

To all the members who helped with cooking meals, various donations, kind offers, etc., THANK YOU. The help was so very deeply appreciated by Cheryln and her children.

It's that time again… It's ✨Weekly Roundup✨ time!

Firstly to Ken Littles Fruit and Veg, Port Macquarie for their ongoing generosity and support 🍇🥕 and to Conroy’s Cleaning Crew for helping a member in need with a free clean this week! 🧼

Also to our beautiful members (who are the heart and soul of our Charity) who have been so incredibly generous this week, we would like to say a massive 🧡 THANK YOU💜 to you! With special mention to;

🍪 A donation of a MASSIVE 9 dozen homemade choc chip cookies, delivered to us already all sectioned out and ready to go to our lovely members in need.

👶🏻 A very generous donation of a baby capsule and nappies.

🧻 A large donation of Who Gives A Crap toilet rolls! You'd be surprised how handy having individually wrapped toilet paper can be whilst handing out donations!

👩🏻‍🍳 A beautiful member from King Creek who has just recently decided to jump aboard our Meal Train Crew! After multiple generous donations 🤗

🛒 And of course all of the wonderful members who continue to donate towards our Meal Trains, whether that be via donation of ingredients (like the lovely member who donated some yummy home grown pumpkins this week) or a monetary donation (like the kind member who donated two $50 Coles gift cards) to go towards ingredients for our Meal Trains, we appreciate each and every one of you!

Cooking for a Meal Train doesn't have to be overwhelming or complicated... Yesterday our VP, Emma, made a super simple beef stroganoff in the slow cooker, with just a few simple ingredients, and produced 6 containers worth as a result!

Simply throw in the slow cooker and walk away, then add in some ready made pasta, wait for it to cool and pop it into containers, ready for a family in need! How simple is that?! 🤩

It's okay if the thought still seems too much though, as we also accept donations of Gift Cards, 'Pay For A Meal' or of course, monetary donations; either once off or a subscription based donation via our Monthly Giving Program.
