NAIDOC week 2024 is held across the country from 7-14 July 2024, NAIDOC Week will celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The Team have decided to participate in the 2024 Push- Up Challenge!!

The Push-Up Challenge is a free mental health and fitness event focused on pushing for better mental health for all Australians. Participants complete 3,249 push-ups (or alternative exercises) over 24 days, representing the 3,249 lives lost to su***de in Australia in 2022.

Our Dietitian Regan is heading this cause by doing daily push-ups. He is even doing 50 push ups on some days!!! 🤯

Go Team!! We can't wait to see how many push-ups you achieve for this great cause!!

✨ Welcome Max! ✨

Max is a final year Physiotherapy student from the University of Newcastle who is joining us for a five week placement!

Max will be supervised by our awesome Physio, Jake!

A word from Max: "I am super excited to be on placement at RTT to gain experience working with a range of clients. I am keen to learn about how the NDIS can support participants with therapy, and what services can be provided at RTT. I also look forward to working with a multi-disciplinary team so we can achieve patient-centred goals together under one roof."

We are so excited to have Max here!! Keep an eye out for him in the Chemist!! He may be popping into your Physio session to learn from experience with Jake!

The other week our amazing OT Caroline had the opportunity to experience Phil Bird's "Building New Pathways" workshop.

The workshop identified areas including "supporting children and adolescents with developmental trauma"

Caroline came away with some great knowledge that she can implement in her own OT sessions!

Last week our Physio’s and OT’s had the opportunity to experience an in service from Aidacare, focusing on scripting manual wheelchair’s and exploring seating options!!

The Team were joined by Aidacare OT Equipment specialist Elisha and clinical team; Simon and Roseanna from Permobil Australia.

This inservice was an educational experience for our Physio’s and OT’s and allowed the Team to test out different wheelchairs!!

Thank you to Aidacare and Permobil for this valuable experience!

You will be joining a fun, energetic team with a reputation for providing high-quality services. Business hours are Monday- Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm (No weekend work).

The Team Administration role is responsible for answering phones, responding to emails, housekeeping duties, supporting a positive client journey from checking in for appointments, raising and finalising invoices, and working within the Allied-Health Team environment!
